The Queue: It is the final Wednesday, my dudes
Hello and happy final Wednesday of 2022, Queuefolk!
This is a slow (but not stopped) week of work — which is good since I still need to figure out my New Year’s plans. That may just include staying home and watching Midsommar, but I’d still love to have plans in place one way or another. In any case, that’s New Year’s, which is a few days away. Right now it’s Wednesday.
And Wednesday is The Queue.
Q4tQ
My camera motion has abruptly turned very herky-jerky: Like, I’ll turn a quarter way around then my camera zips to catch up. It’s killing my motion sickness
I’ve noticed that Dragonriding can very frequently disrupt the normal working order of the camera. I don’t know why — and it drives me crazy — but at the moment, I think a reload is the only fix for it 😕
(And if reloads aren’t doing it, check camera settings since they added a few new options and, as always, disable addons.)
Q4tQ: what’s the highest ilevel WQ rewards can reach? Asking because thanks to a few good drops and the Great Vault, I’m at 364, and my WQ rewards are around 363, so I’m wondering if I need to hit another point for them to go up or if they’re as high as they go.
There may be a few exceptions here and there for Epic-level World Quests, but by and large, they cap at 382.
Is the gear from normal Dungeons good enough to get into LFR? I ask as I’m having a devil of a job getting to 359 iLevel as no WQ’s are popping with good gear.
Unfortunately, Normal dungeons cap at 346, so they won’t get you into LFR. Heroic dungeons, however, cap at 359 — in other words, Blizz wants you to (theoretically) be pretty solidly able to clear Heroic dungeons before getting into LFR.
Q4tQ: Think we will get any new class combos in the X.5 or X.7 patches?
Sadly, I don’t think we will. That feels like the kind of thing that would’ve been perfect to tease on the big ol’ Dragonflight Roadmap that Blizzard just released.
Do Wrathion and Sabellian have paragon rep?
Negatory.
But now that you’ve asked, I’m sure Paragon rewards are imminent.
So yesterday and today I’ve been taking characters through the Legion version of Karazahn doing mount farming and I’ve encountered a strange thing with the zeppelin from Orgrimmar to Stranglethorn Vale. When I board the zeppelin in Orgrimmar it’s empty except for the NPC’s and myself, yet when it arrives in the Vale it’s full of other players also.
Someone mentioned, but it’s likely that various phasing/sharding/whatever-it’s-called is happening more heavily in Orgrimmar than in Stranglethorn. Or maybe less heavily. Either way, there’s a difference in phasing between the two! :P
Overall, it definitely takes away from the (admittedly short-lived) traveling immersion, but I’m sure it helps with server stress in ways that outweigh the cons.
That’s it for Mitch Queues in 2022! I hope you all have a great one, a safe New Year, and a very positive 2023!
