The Queue: Arthas, we meet again
After not killing Terros again this week(6% wipe) — I decided to try my luck at getting Invincible.
Wouldn’t you know it, I was also not lucky there either! Someday I’ll finally be able to see that stupid undead winged horse. Someday…
While I try and figure out if I’m interrupting a private moment between Arthas and Tirion, it’s time for — The Queue.
Why aren’t there any Sprite Darters in dragonland?
Until you pointed out their absence I didn’t realize there weren’t any! What gives other dragons!?!
Possible reasons:
- Were the Sprite Darters too tasty? They are bite-sized for many of the giant dragons…
- Are the Sprite Darters all on probation until they can confirm 100% that they are actually dragons?
- Are they on a secret mission for Alexstraza to get snacks?
- Is it an Australian situation where they’d be an invasive predator that totally ruins the ecosystem? They are pretty murderous, I could see them wreaking havoc on the local Gnoll and Tuskaar populations…
I don’t know for sure but I’m leaning toward the first and last options as most likely. Especially since the Red district of Valdrakken has the fancy dragon chef, I bet that Alexstraza is well supplied with snacks.
QftQ: Since Marshmallow & Bacardi have vault-enhancing powers, is there a Blizzard Watch pet that could put in a good word for me with the Maruuk so they’d let me adopt their mammoth? I’m a very good animal-daddy, I promise!
Hmm, have you tried asking Mitch for lucky animals? He seems to have a couple on hand, surely one of them must be lucky!
I didn’t realize that their luck was so narrow though. Maybe they’re general-purpose lucky and you just need to specify what you need that luck for. That being said, if you give Bacardi a boop and ask for luck in your local lottery, I feel like he’s entitled to 5% of the winnings.
TIL that primal chaos stack to 3000. Which again brings up the old question, how does Bliz decide what constitutes a stack?
I bet it has something to do with how many corgis can dance on the head of the Tyrael statue. Whoever was in charge of supplying the corgis that day had some extra graceful dogs — thus, we got a 3000 stack.
I’d like it if more things were consistent like this, especially as reagent tab space is at a premium. If everything that went in there stacked to 3000 at least I would be able to save a few more of the old mats from other expansions. As it was I went through pretty ruthlessly at the start of Dragonflight and cleaned out anything that wasn’t going to be a pain to get again. Since we have the new auction house rules at least old expansion stuff is fairly cheap if I decided that I absolutely must make something from a past expansion.
With the news that the Ethereal Soul-Trader outfit is now transmoggable, do you think the Soul-Trader Beacon will be…
1) a Twitch drop?
2) on the trading post?
3) available more often on the BMAH?
4) unchanged (card game loot)?
I think the smart money here is on the Twitch drops. Especially if we get more Void story content with Alleria. That’d be a perfect way to tie in the Twitch drop with upcoming content.
I also wouldn’t put it past them to do a push where every Black Market Auction House had a Soul-Trader Beacon every day for a week. Like we saw with the Garrosh shoulders back in Shadowlands.
Thanks for reminding me that I needed to get mine out again and start collecting doodads for the appearance though. I’d forgotten all about that little guy!
FYI: they did hotfix the paragon boxes to sometimes dropped Bottled Essences (if you have the drops for them unlocked) and Shards of Dragon Knowledge.
Better than nothing, but also not that exciting still. I want a pony! Or at least some fancy dragon-appearance glyphs. It’s weird to me that they’re not nearly as lucrative as they were before.
At least the weekly quest has a chance to go up to 15,000 gold.
I’ve been rewatching a few episodes of the Mandalorian in preparation for Wednesday’s debut, and I forgot how good the first season is. So good that I can’t keep my cat off of my lap while watching. He wants to be a part of it too or at least wants to try and eat one of those little frogs that Baby Yoday was so interested in.
Give him a boop for some good luck in your weekly vaults, or anything else you might need luck in!
Today’s Anna Earworm™: Separate Ways
I’m still torn on liking this more than the original version, but I do appreciate the fire that they’ve given their cover.
Have an excellent week everyone, can you believe that we’re basically in March now — I can’t! It feels like just yesterday we were prepping for Valentine’s day!
