The Queue: Bear down for mid-game
It’s the Diablo 4 mid-game for my bear in the truest sense of the word. He’s gotten to level 50 now, just 50 more to go! I also did it before starting the third act so I’m not quite at the mid-game point on that front. But I’m doing better! I actually did some main story quest today and progressed a little further!
While I try and stay on track and not get distracted by Strongholds and side-quests, it’s time for — The Queue!
It’s all well and good that they enabled cross-faction guilds. But you can’t do instanced content with your guildies. So, QftQ:
How long do you think it will be before you can queue up for stuff (like timewalking) with your opposite-inclined friends?
Soon™
I’m inclined to give the Warcraft developers the benefit of the doubt here. There are lots of weird edge cases where we’ve already seen unintended interactions between cross-faction players. Taking a little extra time to ensure that when the final content walls come down for cross-faction groups is going to be better for everyone. Even then I’m sure we’ll find some weird bug where a cross-faction Timewalking group accidentally steps on a duck and now all of the demons in the Twisting Nether are waterfowl.
Silly question time!
If you could summon any WoW companion pet into the real world, which one would you pick? Remember – you need to tend to it with food, litter box, poopy bag etc. Some places of venue accept dogs but what about … oh, I dunno …. ?
Pierre the living stove seems like a good option. I wouldn’t mind having a personal chef after all! Same for the Clockwork Gnomes, except then it’s a butler. Neither of which feel like they’d be that hard to upkeep, keep Pierre stocked with coal and wood, and the Clockwork Gnome can be brought to a watchmaker if things break down.
On the other hand, I would love just to have a sweet cat like Mischief hanging around. Sure there’s all of the Mischief, but also who doesn’t want a semi-magical cat!?
Q4tQ: how’s the WoW experience and rep boost treating you? Asking because my priest was at 33 on Thursday and now she’s at 60. I know it’ll slow down a little when I hit the Dragon Isles, but I feel like she could hit 70 in a few days depending on how much I play.
I haven’t done much with it yet, but I have heard that you can max out a character pretty quickly in just Timewalking dungeons, and I have fallen behind on my podcasts a little bit. Maybe that’s what I’ll spend part of Monday night doing.
Who knows, maybe I’ll even finally get the Infinite Timereaver!
Hah! I don’t think I’m expecting that any time, but I might try to level my Evoker.
QftQ: If ethereals and brokers (which I assume are just ethereals after they’ve passed the veil of death into the Shadowlands) become playable, how would you want it to happen as a story?
I don’t expect them to join up for any big sense of belonging to the forces of Azeroth. There’s no giant threat lurking out in the greater universe that they’re running from or trying to enlist our help in fighting. No, they’re going to join up because we’re paying them.
I’d bet that Gallywix or an Alliance equivalent to Gallywix will offer them a princely sum of money to become their bodyguards and along the way, the factions will just offer more and swoop the contract out from under them. There’s no honor amongst intergalactic traders I guess.
As long as we keep paying them they’ll keep offering their services, or maybe they’ll discover a relatively common item on Azeroth that they can flip for enormous profit elsewhere. Either way, they’ll join our fight for the moment and we’ll have cool bandage people slinging spells and swords alongside us.
Today’s Bacardi picture is saying what are you doing in my spot. You better boop him quick for some fast luck before the claws come out.
Today’s Anna Earworm™: Dreams
Have a good day off if you’re getting that today, otherwise don’t forget to leave lots of questions for Anna tomorrow. It’ll really be her this time — I’m almost 75% sure!
