5 great decks to use for Marvel SNAP’s new Featured Location, Great Web
Marvel SNAP rolled out the last Featured Location of its new Spider-Versus season, Great Web, and we’ve made a Spiderverse full of awesome decks for you to try out there. Featured Location mini-events are the way SNAP adds new Locations to the game, and are usually worth some deck adjustments if you’re looking to win some matches.
Let’s take a look at some great deck lists to help you thwip to victory while Great Web is the Featured Location, though all of these decks will work to your benefit whenever you encounter Great Web Location in the future.
What is the significance of Great Web in Marvel lore?
Great Web has a long history in the Marvel comics. It refers to the Web of Life and Destiny, or Web of Reality and acted both as a model for the entire multiverse as well as a means of travel from one reality to another. More than connect realities, it provided the means for the mystical, magical, genetically-engineered spiders to venture into each reality and bite a person becoming the spider-based heroes we know and love. The Web of Life gave Madame Web her ability to foresee the future, and is the explanation for the “Spider-Sense” ability. This only scratches the surface of the story. Eventually a society of Web Warriors formed to protect the Great Web until Spider-geddon and the eventual end of the Spider-Verse.
What’s the key to winning when Great Web is up?
Movement based decks are the theme of the Spider-Versus season and Great Web continues that trend. Despite releasing movement cards and movement Locations, players analyzing the metagame still don’t have movement as even a tier 3 deck. That isn’t to say it is impossible to win with movement, but there are better options out there.
Will Great Web change that? The ability to move a card each turn could help buff cards like Vulture, Human Torch, and Dagger. But the biggest hindrance is the effect is random. You don’t know which card — or even which player’s card — Great Web will move.
If you are playing a movement deck, don’t play cards at Great Web if you can avoid it, except for Kraven. You want Great Web to move cards to the Location for you. Once there, you want to move them out of Great Web. Then you have to hope you get a little lucky with the RNG and Great Web moves them back again.

This is a movement based deck featuring the newly released Spider-Man 2099 card. In addition to Great Web, this deck gives you Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Cloak, and Heimdall as possible activators for Spider-Man 2099. Try to target a lane without many cards to better target 2099’s powerful destroy effect.

This is your standard movement based deck. Vulture, Multiple Man, and Human Torch are the main cards you are looking to grow to competitive power. Use the Budget Code if you haven’t completed Series 2 yet.
Surfer Move
Deck code:

Many of the best movement based cards are 3-Energy. These include Doctor Strange, Vulture, and Juggernaut. Silver Surfer will buff those 3-Energy cards giving this movement deck the boost of raw Power it needs to compete.
Kingpin
Deck code:
eyJOYW1lIjoiRGVjayA1IiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikh1bWFuVG9yY2gifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Iklyb25GaXN0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJaYWJ1In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNeXN0aXF1ZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiR2FtYml0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaWxsbW9uZ2VyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWdWx0dXJlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaW5ncGluIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJXb25nIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNaWxlc01vcmFsZXMifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFlcm8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhlaW1kYWxsIn1dfQ==
This deck aims to get Kingpin on the board and then either use Great Web or Aero to move cards to the Kingpin lane on turn 6. Gambit and Wong help keep the board clear. It also includes Mile Morales, who is a great add to any deck since Great Web will activate his cost reduction.
Bounce
Deck code:
eyJOYW1lIjoiQm91bmNlIiwiQ2FyZHMiOlt7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikhvb2QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IktpdHR5UHJ5ZGUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJhc3QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNwaWRlckhhbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSWNlbWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbmdlbGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhpdE1vbmtleSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVGhlQ29sbGVjdG9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJGYWxjb24ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik15c3RlcmlvIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCaXNob3AifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJlYXN0In1dfQ==
Bounce is the current “Karate Kid” deck (earworm). It mitigates Great Web by being able to return the cards to your hand that Great Web moves, allowing you to place them where you want them.
What are your ideas?
I’d love nothing more than to see move belong a viable archetype, but I’m not sure if even Great web can make it competitive. Keep in mind that even as the Featured Location, there will still be matches that you don’t see Great Web. This will make Madame Web sad, but you still have to make sure your deck is flexible enough that you don’t have to retreat if you don’t get Great Web in your Location pool.
Whether Great Web is in your Location pool due to the event, one of the randomly chosen ones after the event, hopefully these decks and tips help you win!
