The Queue: Mitchell Dojo Casa House

‎It is Wednesday, my Queueds.

It’s also the first full day of cat-watching at the parents’ place, which means the GF and I basically have a house for an entire family and their many cats all to ourselves. Not that we’re going to throw a party behind my parents’ back and then have to epically cover it up in one hour because they came home early and caught us off guard, movie-style. But we will have a large house to ourselves, full of cats. And frankly, that was more than enough of an excuse to use this title.

But enough about that. Let’s Queue.

So, for those unaware, the title here is actually a reference to the Barbie movie. I won’t give away any more than that, but it’s a great gag and frankly, that movie is worth it just to see Ryan Gosling having the absolute time of his life.

In any case, the movie ALSO covers a lot of discontinued/just plain odd Barbie toys, including a dog that both eats food and then poops it out so it can… I dunno, I guess eat it again? I had completely forgotten about it, but as soon as it appeared, I remembered that, yes, this thing did exist for real.

It’s a fun little reminder of just how much of marketing is throwing stuff at the wall and hoping it sticks (💩). And/or poor decisions by people with zero common sense.

Absolutely not. Heathens.

While apparently you can get Fel Shards in place of the fire, it’s not the same as straight-up green fire. Which is, frankly, how I feel about Shadow getting unique color variants for Halo, Divine Star, and other abilities but NOT getting cool, shadowy feathers in place of Light-infused “Angelic” Feathers. It’s been on my list for a long time, and I was really hoping that Shadow getting Feather back in Dragonflight would mean a unique variant, but alas. No such luck.

Okay well I should’ve looked at the full thing before including here because I don’t think I can answer ALL of these, but…

• Orc: I’d probably drool a lot. I would not be used to their teeth sticking out the way they do.
• Tauren: I’d see if I could make an amazing garden with my new connection to the earth.
• Gnome: I’d find other Gnomes, a trench coat, and see what bars I could sneak into.
• Worgen: I’d spend all day transforming between Human and Worgen form, just to see how weird it feels.
• Scourge: I’d kiss everyone. A KISS OF DEATH.
• Everything else: I’d wake up as a horrible amalgam of all the other races not covered here, wonder what cruel god cursed me thusly, and then terrorize the nearest intersection until I was inevitably shot down and turned into the latest cover-up story.

With apologies to hikes I may be forgetting, last November, the partner and I took a trip to Pennsylvania and ended up taking a hike through Quebec Run Wild Area. It was hours of just the two of us, in nature, seeing all kinds of florae I’ve never encountered before. It was fantastic. (Also shout out to cave-trekking, which tends to happen in tour form, but is a whole different kind of awesome.)

Social Media N’Zoth always makes this a hard question to answer, and His presence in the latest WoW storylines is also bumping him up but… I always have a soft spot in my heart for C’Thun, the first Old God I ever saw in WoW. That’s certainly helped by how Silithus, way back when, had a whole different air of mystery about it. It was incomplete at launch and felt like something was going to come, but I never knew what. Then it turned into an entire server-wide event and became one of the most memorable large-scale happenings in WoW. So it’s hard not to think fondly of C’Thun.

MCR > Panic, no contest. And Gerard > Brendon, also no contest.

Pardon the ignorance, but is there an actual in-game reason you would NEED to follow your guild? Is it something where they insist on using guild chat for everything? Because otherwise, it feels like WoW has largely moved to a point where servers… don’t really matter? In-game communities and Discord make it easier than ever to play how you want, while still playing with whomst you want.

Perhaps this is a conversation you’ve already had or seen at length, but in case not, maybe your GM should get with the times or be more accomodating.

For real, though, I have no clue what would prompt the random addition of two items to the Shop. I wouldn’t read into it, mostly because I do not want to get my hopes up.

That said, if the MS acquisition finds a way to breathe life into HOTS (without fundamentally changing it), I’ll be very happy.
