The Queue: If I had a million dollars

I’m not actually sure how far a million dollars goes nowadays, but I’d certainly take some time off to catch up on my gaming backlog and turn into a Hobby Person. Heck, money or no, we all deserve a full year off every now and then, just to catch up on stuff n things. Right? Or maybe we deserve longer…

Not really, no. I suppose you could do something silly like accidentally craft a third embellished item that you can’t even equip, which at least allows you to have backup gear… but that still falls under “crafting” sooo….

Hold onto ’em until Blizz either makes them grey and useless or turns them into a “trade for X” thing?

Yesterday was all right. Markedly better than most of the days preceding it. That said, I threw out my back last week (👴) and I can still feel it, especially down the right leg. I would be having an even better week if that could just stop, please and thank you.

My personal method is to load up all the comments and then look at the top-level ones (i.e., NOT replies) for questions. Seeing “Q4TQ” helps them stand out (especially if they are buried) but mostly, if it’s a top-level comment with a question in it, it gets put into The List™. Sometimes, I don’t have answers to everything so I may pull questions that don’t get used. But I still like to gather up the full repository and then select which will work best (assuming there are enough to build up a pick-and-choose list lol).

Yes, it still exists, and yes, Blizzard dropped the “Arclight” from it. I’m curious on how individual departments feel about that decision, because the Arclight whatevermathingy felt like THE thing that makes the game happen, in whatever its version of canon is.

Warcraft Rumble makes a lot more sense from a marketing and brand-recognition standpoint, though, so I’m not at all surprised to see it dropped for the final consumer-facing product. I AM curious to see if it’s going to change how the Arclight is used in-game or if it’s 100% just a name thing.

Also, this game was a lot of fun when I played. Not balanced great at the time, but a solid mobile “pick up/put down for five minutes at a time” kinda thing. I’m also very curious how much more of an emphasis on MTX there are now — it didn’t feel too egregious to me (though I think some BW staffers may feel otherwise) but it also felt like there were at least three key locations I could see soft paywalls being added. Basically, I’m curious if the higher-ups got their hands on the monetization system the same way they did on the title :P
