5 great decks to use for Marvel SNAP’s new Featured Location, Time Theater

Marvel SNAP rolled out the last Featured Location of its Loki for All Time season, Time Theater, and we’re settling in to watch highlights of awesome decks for you to try out there. Featured Location mini-events are the way SNAP adds new Locations to the game, and are usually worth some deck adjustments if you’re looking to win some matches.

Let’s take a look at some great deck lists to help you prune away the competition while Time Theater is the Featured Location, though all of these decks will work to your benefit whenever you encounter the Time Theater Location in the future.

What is the significance of the Time Theater in Marvel lore?

Fans of the Loki show on Disney+ will remember the Time Theater as the place where a time-displaced Loki caught up on the events of the main timeline. This Loki watches his variant’s growth through The Dark World, and Ragnorok. He witnesses the death of his mother and deals with his variant’s culpability in that act. Finally, he watches his variant’s death at the hands of mad Titan, Thanos, during the opening act of Infinity War.

What’s the key to winning when Time Theater is up?

This is one of those negative Locations that works against you like Great Web, Fisk Tower, or Necrosha. The Time Theater suspends your next draw. Instead of drawing a card, you get a copy of the last card you drew. The challenge is to find a way to make this work in your favor and we’ve got some decks below that should help you do just that.

The important thing to keep in mind with Time Theatre is your opponent can have two copies of a card. Normally, once a big disruption card like Shang-Chi or Cosmo is played, you know you’re safe the rest of the game because they can’t play it again. You can’t make that assumption with Time Theatre in play. They just might have a second copy to surprise you.

Great decks to use on Time Theater

Cerebro 5

Deck code:

This deck is built around the namesake Cerebro and uses cards with 5 Power. It brings a ton of disruption with Spider-Man, Wave, and Polaris. Mobius M. Mobius shuts down your Wave, but not everyone has the card yet or will have drawn him in time. You do need to make sure Medusa hits on the center Location for her to get the Cerebro buff.

Shuri Kitty

Deck code:

This is a very powerful deck right now and can put  a ton of points on the board. Ideally, you want to build up a big Kitty Pryde. Even better if you can land Hulkbuster for her to use. Two Kitty Prydes would be a great outcome from Time Theatre, but two Shuris would also help.

Inshenaught

Deck code:

eyJOYW1lIjoiaW5maW5hdXRvIHNoZWh1bGsiLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Vuc3BvdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQXJtb3IifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkplZmZUaGVCYWJ5TGFuZFNoYXJrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMb2NramF3In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNYWdpayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSnViaWxlZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV2hpdGVRdWVlbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGV2aWxEaW5vc2F1ciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVmlzaW9uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGVIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJJbmZpbmF1dCJ9XX0=

With both Jubilee and Lockjaw, this deck can be a little inconsistent, but it has several good targets for Time Theater. She-Hulk is the best outcome, but two Jubilees gives you another spin at the RNG.

Loki Collector

Deck code:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTG9raSIsIkNhcmRzIjpbeyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaXR0eVByeWRlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJRdWluamV0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTbm93Z3VhcmQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFuZ2VsYSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVGhlQ29sbGVjdG9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9iaXVzTU1vYml1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VudGluZWwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFnZW50Q291bHNvbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTG9raSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTGVnaW9uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbWVyaWNhQ2hhdmV6In1dfQ==

Loki Collector decks thrive off of cards going into your hand. Time Theater can hit any of your generators. Two Lokis would be a lot of fun. Some people thought Mobius M. Mobius would put an end to the trickster god, but creative players found a way to slot him into the list to protect the cost reduction from Loki and Quinjet.

Destroy

Deck code:

eyJOYW1lIjoiRGVzdHJveSIsIkNhcmRzIjpbeyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEZWFkcG9vbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWDIzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJGb3JnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQ2FybmFnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV29sdmVyaW5lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaWxsbW9uZ2VyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWZW5vbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhdGhsb2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlRhc2ttYXN0ZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IktudWxsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJBbWVyaWNhQ2hhdmV6In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEZWF0aCJ9XX0=

Destroy decks love additional targets or generators and should be able to use whatever Time Theater gives them. Killmonger is a great card to run with all the Sunspots and Kitty Prydes in the meta right now. Getting a second Deadpool or Death is a great outcome.

What are your ideas?

Mobious M. Moboius released hours before Time Theater. He is having a profound impact on the meta.

Even as the Featured Location, there will still be matches that you don’t see Time Theater. You have to make sure your deck is flexible enough that you don’t have to retreat if you don’t get Time Theater in your Location pool.

Whether Time Theater is in your Location pool due to the event, one of the randomly chosen ones after the event, hopefully these decks and tips help you win!
