Where to find all the Dragon Glyphs in the Emerald Dream
With the release of World of Warcraft patch 10.2, we’ve ventured into the Emerald Dream — and as we’ve come to expect, with a new zone comes new Dragonriding Glyphs, abilities, and achievements. Similarly to the Zaralek Cavern before it, the Emerald Dream Glyph Hunter achievement adds eight new Glyphs for players to find, and three new Dragonriding talents to learn.
The new talents this time around are:
- Second Wind: Reach within for untapped reserves and instantly regenerate 1 Vigor. Max 3 Charges.
- Swift Skimming: Ground Skimming can now occur while affected by Thrill of the Skies.
- Wind’s Respite: After activating Aerial Halt, experience a brief moment of weightlessness as the effects of gravity are reduced for 4 seconds.
You might need help finding the eight new glyphs — but fear not, intrepid dragonrider, for we’re here to help! Here’s how to get every Dragonrinding glyph in the new Emerald Dream zone, with pictures and coordinates.
Cinder Summit Glyph
This glyph is tucked away under an overhang near the portal where Firebrand Fystia spawns. She’s a rare elite intended to be killed by a group, so you won’t want to land there if she’s up.
/way #2200 29.9 21.25 Cinder Summit
Smoldering Ascent Glyph
Located high above the ridge behind the Wellspring of Life temple, this glyph is out in the open, but hard to see. It’s above what’s probably the highest peak along the ridge, so you may need to stop on the way up to regain your dragon’s Vigor if you don’t approach it cleanly.
/way #2200 21.21 26.76 Smoldering Ascent
Smoldering Copse Glyph
Located south of the river above the Smoldering Copse, this glyph is tucked above the fork of the trunk of a burned tree. Be careful not to hit any of the branches, and you should fly through.
/way #2200 33.79 45.64 Smoldering Copse
Dreamsurge Basin Glyph
Hidden well among the leaves, even with the coordinates this one was difficult to find. As you swoop through the branches, you’ll start getting the chime from your dragonriding mount that a glyph is nearby — and it’s occasionally visible from specific angles. Keep circling until you hit it: it’s really there, I promise!
/way #2200 45.51 45.81 Dreamsurge Basin
Eye of Ysera Glyph
This is one of the easier glyphs to find. Located low between two tree trunks near one of the higher floating islands to the southeast of the Eye of Ysera quest hub, it’s visible from a reasonable distance. If you can’t see it, you may need to circle around, as the view of it can be blocked by the wide tree trunks.
/way #2200 60.34 30.13 Eye of Ysera
Amirdrassil Glyph
This glyph is high up in the branches above the fork in the trunk of Amidrassil, located above the main base camp quest hub. If you don’t get it first pass, you may wish to land in the fork of the tree to regain Vigor, as it’s quite a long way up.
/way #2200 49.99 64.33 Amirdrassil
Whorlwing Basin Glyph
Located above the landmass in the southwest corner of the map. Despite being placed in a fairly open position, you do need to get quite close before it appears.
/way #2200 31.74 80.74 Whorlwing Basin
Wakeful Vista Glyph
This glyph is also hiding among the leaves, but slightly easier to see than the one at Dreamsurge Basin. Keep swooping through the area until you hit it.
/way #2200 61.67 75.48 Wakeful Vista
Addons to help you find all the glyphs in the Emerald Dream zone
The navigation addon TomTom allows you to follow coordinates, while PasteNG allows you to paste multiple command lines (such as coordinates for TomTom to follow) at once. Since people frequently post lists of several coordinates to important locations, the combination of those two addons — which allows you to load a group of coordinates in a block — can make finding quest and achievement objectives much easier.
Here are the coordinates for the glyphs in the Emerald Dream zone:
/way #2200 29.9 21.25 Cinder Summit /way #2200 21.21 26.76 Smoldering Ascent /way #2200 33.79 45.64 Smoldering Copse /way #2200 45.51 45.81 Dreamsurge Basin /way #2200 60.34 30.13 Eye of Ysera /way #2200 49.99 64.33 Amirdrassil /way #2200 31.74 80.74 Whorlwing Basin /way #2200 61.67 75.48 Wakeful Vista
Another helpful map addon is HandyNotes, which allows you to save map markers, and select them for the TomTom waypoint arrow. HandyNotes itself has a secondary collection addon called HandyNotes Dragon Glyphs, which can load these in for you — so look for an updated version after patch 10.2 goes live.
Winds be on your back, dragonrider!
