Where do you plan to go Dragonriding first when patch 10.2.5 arrives?
Dragonflight patch 10.2.5 arrives next week and with it will see the extension of Dragonriding throughout the World of Warcraft as players will be able to use their Dragonriding mounts in any zone that currently allows flying (sorry, Timeless Isle fans). While it won’t be as fast as in the Dragon Isles — only 85% of current speed — it’ll still allow for much faster transit across the zones. And while many will appreciate the ability to get around faster, I’m more interested in what new tricks can be done.
My first visit is going to be to Highmountain in the Broken Isles. Not only do I want to see how fast and far I can travel from there — I’m thinking there’s nowhere in the expansion (except Argus) out of reach at full speed — I also want to see if I can travel up the mountain without stopping. This may be tough, although the recent addition of Vigor regeneration when close to the “ground” should assist.
After that I’ll likely head to Mt Hyjal. Traveling around Kalimdor has always been a big headache for me, so seeing how far and fast I can travel the sprawling landscape should be fun. I’ll likely still think it’s way too slow but it’s definitely going to be a lot better than before.
For the Eastern Kingdoms I’ll likely spend most of time tackling the tunnels of Dun Algaz. They’re navigable, but it’s going to get tricky not to hit the walls while at top speed so I’ll probably need a lot of practice to complete the full run unscathed.
My final travel destination is likely Northrend. I don’t have anywhere in particular in mind, but I’m interesting in seeing how that continent looks at fast speed. Perhaps I’ll see if I can get to the top of the Temple of Storms without stopping, although that should be easier with all the relatively high points nearby.
What about you? Where do you plan on letting Dragonriding take you in patch 10.2.5?
