How to craft Uber Unique Items in Diablo 4

Diablo 4 has introduced a new solution to ease the heartache of trying (and failing) to get the one particular Uber Unique you need for your build with a new way to craft Uber Uniques. As of patch 1.3.2, you can do targeted crafting of specific Uber Uniques after a certain number of failures, turning the Uber Uniques you don’t want into Uber Uniques you do want.

So if you’re sitting on a pile of unwanted Uniques — as Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher suggested early this month — let’s talk about how you can turn them into new Unique items and how much control you have over the process. Crafting a new Uber Unique is a special kind of alchemy, giving you a method for burning through those Uber Uniques you have no interest in to obtain the on(s) you’ve been hunting for! This new system “empowers players to make use of duplicate and undesired Uber Unique items” according to the Diablo 4 1,3,2 patch notes.

Fortunately, the process is pretty easy. Crafting Uber Uniques only requires one ingredient: Resplendent Sparks, which you get from salvaging other Uber Uniques. As long as you’ve collected enough Uber Uniques (that you don’t want), you’ll have Resplendent Sparks to make the Uber Uniques that you want.

Here’s how to craft Uber Unique items in Diablo 4:

1. Salvage five Uber Uniques at the Blacksmith to earn a new resource: Resplendent Sparks.
2. Once you have five Resplendent Sparks, head to the Alchemist and expand the “Transmute Resplendent Sparks” category under the newly-renamed Transmutation Tab.
3. Select the Uber Unique item of your dreams in the list and click to craft. This will cost 50,000,000 gold per craft so definitely double-check which recipe you’re clicking!

Now, there are a few caveats. Most importantly, the preview window for crafting an Uber Unique won’t display the item’s affixes, so it’s roulette on what you’ll receive in terms of stats. Additionally, the pool of Uber Unique items is fairly small, so the list of what is available to craft is pretty short:

• ‍Andariel’s Visage (all classes)
• ‍Ahavarion, Spear of Lycander (Druid, Sorcerer)
• ‍Doombringer (Barbarian, Necromancer, Rogue)
• ‍Harlequin Crest (all classes)
• ‍Melted Heart of Selig (all classes)
• ‍Ring of Starless Skies (all classes)
• ‍The Grandfather (Barbarian, Necromancer)

To make this process a little faster, the drop chance of Uber Unique items acquired outside of Uber Duriel encounters has been increased.
