When does Diablo 4 Season 3 end? The Season has been extended until May 14

Diablo 4 Season 3, Season of the Construct, kicked off January 23 to a lot of interest following the widely enjoyed Season of Blood. This new season introduced new powers for your character in the form of the Seneschal construct, additional dungeons in the Vaults, and the new Echo of Malphas boss. But this robot-themed season will eventually come to a close: Diablo 4 Season 3 ends Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

“But wait!” you cry, “wasn’t this April 16?” Yes, dear reader, it was. The Diablo team announced in the Season 4 PTR campfire session that they’d be delaying the end of Season of the Construct to take into account all the feedback from the PTR period, which runs from April 2 to April 9.

Now so far, we haven’t had any downtime between Diablo 4 seasons. Season 3 kicked off the same day Season 2 ended, in the same way that Diablo 2 ladders and Diablo Immortal seasons behave. This was the second time the community experienced the immediate rollover from one season to another in D4. There have been a few bumps in the process, but it’s worked out.

Despite the PTR, this rollout schedule isn’t changing: Season 3’s end date will roll directly into the Season 4 start date (also confirmed in the Campfire chat). We had hoped that we’d be seeing a shift, as Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher responded to player feedback with the following:

We noticed this isn’t ideal and plan to adjust in future seasons to later in the week. More like Thursday or Fridays.

This may just be the aforementioned adjustment window between the seasons! It would finally get us to a Friday launch date, courtesy of a little break between seasons. I know I could definitely use the time to clean up my stash between seasons — it’s getting a little full in there.

But unfortunately, we’re not going to see it between Seasons 3 and 4. Regardless, we do know one thing for sure: the end for Season 3 is clearly published in the game and has been updated by the development team. You have until Tuesday, May 14 to wrap up your Season 3 journey. Happy hunting!
