How to get the Midsummer Fire Festival Skyriding armor for your Cliffside Wylderdrake

It’s time for the Midsummer Fire Festival in World of Warcraft and your Dragonriding Skyriding mount is ready to enjoy the festivities with their own special Midsummer Fire Festival Armor. Unlike the Lunar Festival Armor you’ll need to hope for some loot luck as the Cliffside Wylderdrake Midsummer Fire Festival Armor manuscript is found at random in the Satchel of Chilled Goods you get for defeating Frost Lord Ahune — however only the first level 60+ character on your account that defeats the Frost Lord is able to receive it as new loot rules have been implemented, although the odds rise for the account each day.

Frost Lord Ahune is a holiday NPC that is only accessible via the groupfinder for dungeons. The option for Frost Lord Ahune will be in the list alongside Random Heroic Dungeons and Specific Dungeons. Simply queue up for the fight, emerge victorious and hope you get the Midsummer Fire Festival Armor manuscript in your Satchel of Chilled Goods. Once the manuscript is in your bags right click it to learn it. It’s important to note that each account only has one chance a day to get it — farming the Frost Lord repeatedly on the same or other toons will not help.

The Midsummer Fire Festival Armor is account-wide so you only need to have it drop once, although remember that the only Skyriding mount that can equip it is the Cliffside Wylderdrake — if you were hoping to bedeck your Highland Drake or the Flourishing Whimsydrake with burning blossoms you’re sadly out of luck. To switch to this armor appearance head to your nearest Rostum of Transformation, select the Cliffside Wylderdrake customizations, make sure Armor is on and select the Midsummer Fire Festival Armor.

While the Midsummer Fire Festival Armor can only be earned during the holiday, it can be equipped on your Cliffside Wylderdrake for the entire year. So be sure to defeat Frost Lord Ahune daily until you get it so you can show off your love for the midsummer heat while cruising throughout Azeroth.
