What happens to my WoW Remix character when the event ends?

WoW Remix ends on August 20 at 7am pacific, at which point all of your new (and overpowered) alts will transition into the standard game. Your characters will maintain their current level, but they’ll lose the gear they’ve collected along the way: sorry, but you can’t keep those wildly powerful gems or the Cloak of Infinite Stats Potential. So just what’s going to happen to your Remix characters? And what will be in your bags when you log on after the event ends?

Let’s look at what will happen to your Timerunner when WoW Remix ends:

• Your gear will be replaced with a level-appropriate set of gear for your class and spec. For level 70 characters, it will be ilevel 467.
• Characters will get four 30-slot bags and one 26-slot reagent bag.
• All currency (except gold) will be lost. Spend your bronze before the event ends!
• All items will be lost, but unlearned collection items — ensembles, mounts, pets, toys — will be sent to your mailbox.
• All quests will be cleared, so you’ll start fresh and ready for The War Within.
• Your character will be moved Orgrimmar or Stormwind, depending on faction.

Characters won’t be converted automatically: you’ll have to log on to them to start the process, though Blizzard hasn’t suggested that there will be any time restriction on this, so don’t feel like you need to rush to log on to every character immediately. The conversion process may take several minutes, so be patient.

And now that we’re all done with Remix, it’s time to head into Radiant Echoes to gear these characters up… right? Well, depending on your attention span after spending all of those hours collecting bronze in Pandaria.
