What’s your leveling plan for The War Within?

By the time you read this, people will have already started leveling in The War Within, there will probably be multiple people at level 80 already. Depending on your play style you may be pushing to max level ASAP and trying to gear up your main raiding/M+ character to be ready to hit that content hard when it opens on the September 10.

The introduction of Warbands may change the way that people approach levelling, especially if you have alts that you want to leverage. With The War Within, reputations for the new expansion factions will be shared across your Warband and quests will only award reputation to the first character who completes them. Campaign quests will be flagged as Warband quests, and completing them on secondary characters will be optional.

My personal plan is to complete the campaign on my main character, and finishing The War Within Pathfinder achievement, which will open up Steady Flying for all characters in Khaz Algar. The requirements for this achievement require completing the campaign chapters and revealing the entire map:

• Khaz Algar Explorer
• The Isle of Dorn
• The Ringing Deeps
• Hallowfall
• Azj-Kahet

As I work through the zones doing the campaign quests, I plan to do each Delve at least once to start levelling up Brann Bronzebeard. You also visit several dungeons while levelling using the Follower Dungeon mechanics.

Once I hit 80, I will probably start levelling one of my alts who is a herbalist – my Alchemist/Scribe needs herbs to progress, so getting an alt levelled to feed them materials will help a bunch.

Then I will try to finish the other storyline quests back on my main, grab all the skyriding glyphs, start collecting treasures and battle pets — don’t forget to grab Coppers the Kobold for a battle pet who acts as a repair merchant that can be summoned in instances. Hopefully I will manage to get some dungeons in with my guild, and I will need to start levelling my professions; fishing will be needed for cooking, and I will want to level alchemy and inscription before the raids open.
