The Traveling Travel Agency is the next Hearthstone Miniset, and the cards are pun-tastic

The next Hearthstone miniset, The Traveling Travel Agency, launches September 10, including the usual new cards and being purchasable with either in-game gold or real money — but far more importantly, it has some of the most creative (and pun-tastic) cards out there.

The regular version of the miniset can be purchased for $15 or 2000 in-game gold, and it adds a total of 72 cards to your collection, since it consists of 38 new cards:

  • 4 Legendary
  • 1 Epic (2 copies)
  • 17 Rare (2 copies of each)
  • 16 Common (2 copies of each)

If you decide not to purchase the miniset, you can still acquire those new cards by opening regular Perils in Paradise packs. There’s also an all-Golden version of the miniset that includes a bonus Diamond legendary, and costs a whopping $70 (or 10000 in-game gold).

But what you’re really here for are these magnificent puns. So let’s take a look at the theme behind some of our favorite cards in The Traveling Travel Agency.

We open with Cash Cow, and we’re left wondering just how literal we’re talking. Can we… milk gold coins from her? Poor Bessy.

This type of Monkey Business, however, sounds much more orderly (and useful). Imagine having monkeys that can actually help you with your business… if that’s what they’re really doing. But hey, the monkey in the illustration does look serious and focused.

Workhorse is just polite. I bet he shows up on time every day, and he’s diligent about his daily affairs. I do wonder if he has someone to help him put on that tie.

Number Cruncher might be the exact opposite of Monkey Business, though. You hired this cat Druid because you wanted him to do calculations… but I’m not positive he understood the assignment, and you might end up with torn pages everywhere.

Soul Searching seems like a useful part of every travel agency, am I right? Death Knights gotta work too, and I’m fairly certain they can find steady employment cataloguing souls in order to help people who are planning their vacation trips… somehow.

Punch Card is one of my favorites. I’m just picturing this very angry gnome boss punching cards and no one having the heart to tell him that’s not how it’s supposed to be done. His orc assistant looks so done.

Still, we all gotta hit those deadlines… and what better way to do that than with a literal Deadline? Those Forsaken sure work fast. Must be a way to get their minds off the eternal pain and suffering, or something.

Finally, Carnivorous Cubicle is just mean. Work conditions already seem pretty subpar, so the idea that you might get devoured by your station at any moment of your day has got to be bad for morale.

So, which of these pun-tastic cards is your favorite? The Traveling Travel Agency releases September 10, so we’re very close now — it’s time to pack your bags, and have fun!
