The Queue: And the winner is…

I guess the Emmys were last night, and Bears won a lot of awards?

This is good and proper.

While I argue whether or not my bear is more comedic or more dramatic, it’s time for — The Queue!

Everything I missed during hibernation of course! I’d probably need to spend a good portion of it eating to regain my strength and get ready for next hibernation. That’s a big chunk of the year to spend hitting the snooze button. Although it’d be worth it maybe. I’d be so well rested! Maybe I only need four months for hibernation.

I can picture it now, the day after my birthday just get in a big cocoon of blankets and put on a podcast to listen to exactly 4 minutes and 37 seconds of before I fall asleep and miss everything that came after it. That way I could ride out all of our bitter winters and wake up just in time for the snow to melt. Sure I wouldn’t get to wear as many of my cool sweaters, but that’s a small price to pay.

Of course, knowing Edmonton it’d melt, and then we’d get another huge dump of it that sticks around into June.

I don’t think if you sleep through your birthday you stay the same age. Otherwise, we’d see billionaires and celebrities doing it all the time. We all know that the only true path to immortality is a painting in your attic that does the aging for you.

The Pokemon Snap quests have been great! I just wish that the Z-axis was a little better on them. I still shudder at doing some of the hot air balloon versions from Dragonflight because I just couldn’t tell if the camera was actually pointing down like I thought it was.

They also feel like a rare time when a mini-game daily quest was brought forward into the next expansion. I miss playing “Follow the Barrel” and knock-off Bejeweled for dailies! I know this may be controversial, but I also miss Flappy Bird from Shadowlands. I was pretty surprised when that one didn’t make an appearance in Dragonflight — there was so much flight all over the place, why not include that daily?!

I think it’ll just be the current promotion. They did give people a purple firework during the Vault of the Incarnates race back at the beginning of Dragonflight. Which is neat, and probably helped to boost the amount of people tuning in to the first few days of streams. It was just a shame that those first few days wound up being mostly Heroic splits as all three difficulties opened on the same day.

Getting watchers invested in the early scramble to see who can get past the first roadblock boss would’ve probably worked better than watching Echo kill their 40th Kurog Grimtotem to try and get their main raiders tier.

I also think we would’ve heard something about a new Twitch drop by now. Mythic is going to open tomorrow and a little notice is always good to help people get hyped for your cross-promotions.

I think that it’s time Warcraft had a narrator, and who better to give you the recaps of roads traveled so far, and the history of the zone you’re walking in than Sam Elliot and that deep baritone voice? Sure that’s not a character per se, but some of the best narrators out there have taken on a larger-than-life presence in their stories! Just look at Logan Cunningham in Bastion. That game was basically sold entirely on the basis of how good its narrator was!

I would also accept Sam Elliot as Mathias Shaw or Genn Greymane. I know that the Worgen are usually a little more British in their accents, but I’m willing to overlook it if you are.

Today’s Bacardi is eagerly waiting for you to tell him just what kind of loot you’re looking for some extra luck. He’s certainly not posed like this because I’ve just gotten his next meal ready and he’s waiting for me to put it in his bowl. That would be ridiculous!
