The Queue: Watch out for that fall!
Finally, it’s sweater season!
I have so many old favorites to wear. Plus a brand-new puffy vest to parade around town. There’s nothing quite as nice as a nice sweater to keep you warm. Unless of course you also have a nice cup of something hot to hold at the same time. It sure beats standing in fire!
As the nights get longer, the weather crisper, and the leaves more colorful, remember that it’s time for — The Queue!
QftQ: what are you getting me for my birthday?
Just this limerick! Happy birthday Lefty!
There once was a birthday for Lefty
Who expected presents quite hefty
sadly the weather of the day
caused nothing but dismay
As a storm blew them away southwesterly
Q4tQ: what have you recently done for the first time?
Tonight I did a karaoke duet.
The other week I went to a massive inflatable bounce castle. I’m talking properly massive, 30,000 square feet in the largest one, and there were lots of other smaller (but still large) bounce arenas there including an inflatable obstacle course.
I’d never done one, but surely it wouldn’t be that tough. I’ve always watched reality competition shows like Wipeout and MXC with an air of “I can probably do that.” Well, gentle readers, it turns out that it can be that tough! I was able to get through it, eventually — but oh boy did it make me feel my age.
At least if I wind up on Wipeout now I’ll have a better idea of what my chances are, and try and play up the comedy before I’m eliminated so at least people remember me fondly.
hello queue
i just had some mediocre pasta
I’m terribly sorry for your pasta experience. Did you try adding more cheese to make it better?
With no further details, I won’t be able to properly commiserate other than talking about a mediocre pizza my lady ordered from an Italian restaurant the other day.
It was a weird one for sure. It had a bechamel sauce base, with caramelized onions, gorgonzola cheese, thin potato slices, and toasted walnuts. It wasn’t so awful that you couldn’t finish a slice, but it was more puzzling than anything. Who is seeking out these taste combinations? Why is this being put on a pizza? What could pull it together and turn it into a standout dish?
I don’t have the answers, just a confused tongue.
Q4Cory: Have you played Flight Form Roulette in the Coreway yet?
I do love Druid only shenanigans like that, but no I haven’t partaken yet.
I’ve actually taken a little break from Warcraft with the end of Dragonflight and the start of The War Within. It’s been a wild couple of months here and I’ve been focusing on other things and other games. I’m sure I’ll hop into all the fun stuff with our new spider friends and rock dwarves eventually, but I gotta build a new computer first, and work is getting busy — so who knows how much I’ll be able to play.
It was a little tough to stop raiding, I’ve been doing it for a long while now, but even in the last couple of seasons of Dragonflight, I wasn’t playing as much outside of raid times.
So I’ll keep avoiding the spoilers I can until I get the chance to see it for myself. In the meantime, I have Warcraft Rumble and the next season of Diablo 4 to jump into. Maybe this will be the season I finally stick with a Rogue long enough for them to get fun!
Azeroth will still be there when I’m ready to come back.
Today’s Bacardi has just settled into a rewatch of one of his favorite shows. Well alright, it’s one of my favorite shows, but he’ll get to watch along with me on my lap for most of it — so basically it’s one of his favorites too. At least he’ll give you some good loot luck as you head out into the great unknown of next week.
For Beltalowda!
