The Queue: Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage
This sounds like the title of a Beatles album.
Anyway, the Darkmoon Faire is in town, and if you aren’t aware, you can talk to one of the helpful Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mages to get teleported directly to the Faire grounds in either Elwynn Forest or Mulgore, depending on your faction, for the absolutely outrageous price of twenty-five copper.
Please like, share, subscribe, and ring the notification bell for more Darkmoon Faire facts.*
In the meantime, let’s do the Queue thing again!
*Disclaimer: there is no notification bell for The Queue yet. Blizzard Watch may not have any additional Darkmoon Faire facts to share.

Q4tQ: Do you fly the to the Darkmoon Faire portal, or do you pay the 25 copper for a port?
Jalamenos
Pay for port? Where?
I pay for the port. You can get it from the helpful Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mages, wearing the green robes and hat, on pretty much every major city of your chosen faction. I usually hit the one in Stormwind in front of the main bank, or the one in Orgrimmar up on the plateau near the Flight Master.
Twenty-five copper is an extremely high price that makes me want to kick inanimate objects when I think about it, but alas, such is the cost of convenience.
Do you think they’ll have Delves in future xpacs?
It’s weird because there’s a Delves category in Achievements with a drop down for War Within.
This seems a significant clue, but who knows.
Yes, for sure. The new Great Vault category introduced in The War Within is meant to cater to the casual or solo player, using world activities and Delves as its catalyst. A lot of players are now doing Delves as their main kind of content in WoW, instead of Mythic+, Raiding, or PVP, and they’re actually able to keep progressing their characters — which is fantastic. I don’t see Blizzard removing that.
I do expect Delves to get some changes, though. There are legitimate criticisms to be had, such as the fact that certain classes and specializations have a much easier time with the content than others, or how certain mechanics can be overly punishing (including the companion AI, at times), or how the difficulty (and annoyance factor) varies so much between Delves, making some of them far more dreaded than others. I do think Blizzard will iterate heavily on this system, but I don’t see it being outright removed or replaced.
I also wish they’d make it just a little bit more like Torghast, though. Constantly picking out new powers that allowed your character to do crazy things was very fun. Delves could use a dash of that particular spice.
Q4tQ: Your Diablo 4 main has to fight your WoW main. Who wins?
My WoW main is my Void Elf Monk. I don’t really do organized content, so her power level is always that of someone who does invest time and effort into learning how to play properly, but is still a filthy casual with no gear.
My Diablo 4 main is my Sorceress, and since this is a game where I can dive into endgame content by myself, she has comparatively accomplished far more. I’ve worked on getting gear that I consider to be reasonably good, and although I don’t tackle the highest content the game has to offer, I do feel pretty powerful and able to tackle higher end content than I do in WoW.
So yeah, I think my D4 Sorceress would burn my poor WoW Monk to a crisp before she got close enough for a single Rising Sun Kick. (Especially since the WoW devs removed Skyreach — those absolutely heartless monsters.)
Q4tQ: the Diablo IV expansion comes out in a little under three hours from when I’m typing this. What are your bets for how the servers handle it?
Like hell.
No, but seriously, it wouldn’t be a Diablo launch if we didn’t have some issues — and the actual launch ended up delayed for several hours for “emergency maintenance,” and required the deployment of a huge patch before the servers finally went up.
Sadly (or perhaps hilariously), that’s been kinda the norm. I guess it’s just a very complex game when it comes to the server infrastructure, perhaps because of all the thousands of instances being created at the same time, or something. I don’t know, I’m not a Server Sorcerer or a Cloud Computing Conjurer or a Whimsical World Wide Web Wizard, or–
Q4tQ Have the exceedingly positive reviews for Metaphor: ReFantazio increased your excitement for the game?
A little bit, yes. The game is currently one of the highest-rated releases of the year on Metacritic, and to know that so many different outlets all over the world tried it and thought it was this good definitely makes me more confident that it might just live up to my expectations, or even surpass them.
Friday can’t come soon enough!
You know what? Since we were just talking about Kalcheus, you should all leave lots of questions for him to answer tomorrow. I’ll start:
