How would you improve the Warcraft Anniversary events?

The World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary has entered its third week and the party outside the Caverns of Time is still pretty fun. While I’ve acquired all the new collectibles thanks to the boost to Bronze Celebration tokens that was made early on I’m still spending time down there and not just to kill the wandering world bosses for loot on my alt. Still I am starting to wonder if my time could be better spent elsewhere, and what changes could entice me to stick around more.

The first thing I would like is if the three local events of the anniversary ran more frequently. As they all finish in under eight minutes I think they should be on a ten-minute interval schedule rather than a fifteen-minute one. As it’s currently paced there’s too much downtime between the events, but not enough time to go kill a World Boss while waiting and there’s only so many times you can bear to hear the same conversations.

Speaking of the events, I would love it if they had gone with more tales for Story Time. There’s roughly thirty events off the top of my head that would be perfect for the format but with just three there it’s not worth paying attention to anymore. What’s weird is that they concocted five new stories entirely for the Theater Troupe event on the Isle of Dorn but only found time to give us a few for the anniversary. Maybe next year they’ll add more.

Finally I think there could’ve been more to do in the rest of the world. The vista point portals are cute, but they’re just pop in-and-pop back. Something that compelled us to explore the world — even as simple as visiting inns like we do for candy during Hallow’s End — would’ve done a great job of showing off all that has been accomplished in the past twenty years.

What do you think? Are you having fun with the Anniversary or have you already stopped visiting? What else do you think could’ve been done to improve the festivities?
