Surprise! It’s WoW maintenance Thursday, but the servers are already back online
Today’s World of Warcraft maintenance is short, but you really never expect Thursday morning maintenance so it’s possible this extra bit of downtime wreckedyour morning plans to get in a few Timewalking dungeons. Fortunately, the WoW servers are now online, after scheduled maintenance from 7am to 8am pacific (10am to 11am eastern). The servers came back on early and without fanfare.
There’s no word on what today’s maintenance was for, but The War Within has been plagued with bugs that have been disrupting day-to-day play recently, and any of them might be the culprit for today’s extra downtime. We had slightly extended maintenance on Tuesday, as well as a round of maintenance for Blizzard services, but some issues persist. (For example, transferring currency between your Warband still causes a lag spike in Nerub-ar Palace as your entire guild disconnects and reconnects to guild services.) Right now we’re just waiting to see if there’s anything changed when the servers pop back online later this morning.
The WoW servers are now online for play, so you can get back to your Timewalking.
