Where to find mount trainers and vendors on WoW Classic era and anniversary realms

In World of Warcraft Classic Era realms and anniversary realms, players can learn how to use mounts once they reach level 40 which increases ground speed and provides a faster option than running from place to place. It costs 20 gold to learn the riding skill from a mount trainer and each trainer has a mount vendor nearby that will sell regular mounts, which increase ground speed by 60%, at level 40 for 80 gold and epic mounts, which increase ground speed by 100%, at level 60 for 1000 gold. These are the baseline costs but players can receive a 20% total discount on these training and mount prices — a 10% discount is applied for reaching rank 3 in PVP and another 10% discount on mounts and training by reaching the Honored reputation rank with the associated race’s faction.

Riding skills teach players how to use a specific mount, instead of teaching a universal mount skill. Riding skills are also race-specific, initially limiting players to the use of a certain mount type based on their race. Once players reach level 40 and have enough gold to cover the cost of training and the mount, they can find the mount trainers and vendors associated to their character’s race.

Players can learn the mount riding skill for other races only when they reach the Exalted reputation with that race’s faction. Even so, there are still race restrictions on certain mounts — Tauren can’t ride Undead skeletal horse or raptor mounts while Humans and Night Elves can’t use Mechanostrider mounts. Two classes, Warlocks and Paladins, can learn how to summon regular mounts as spells through class-specific quests that become available at level 40. Paladins will learn how to Summon Warhorse after completing the Tome of Nobility, which can be picked up from Duthorian Rall in the Cathedral of Stormwind City while Warlocks will need to head to Ratchet and speak to Strahad Farsan to learn Summon Felsteed.
