The Queue: Wisp in the Shell

2024 was one of the years of all time. Today, we celebrate it.

The first time I logged in and there was a fully-functional Warband. I almost wept tears of joy.

(Honorable mention to the moment I clicked my Great Vault and there were actual rewards there waiting for me that came from doing World content and Delves.)

I’m going with three.

1. My Dracthyr Frost Mage, who I grew to really love. I absolutely gelled with that character, and played her so much for a while that she shot up to become my second highest-geared character, only behind my Monk main. It had been ages since the last time I played a Mage so seriously!
2. My Dracthyr Fury Warrior, because I’ve always really enjoyed the idea of playing as a dragon warrior — not just in WoW — and this fulfills that fantasy, while looking extremely cool!
3. My (Man’ari Eredar) Draenei Warlock, because that’s a combination I used to think Blizzard would absolutely never do (but I always wanted anyway).

All hail new race/class combos, yeah! I hope we keep getting them — and I also hope we eventually get some new specs added to the old classes. Any excuse for me to roll even more alts, I say.

Oh, that’s easy!

2. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls

5. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

But fine, since you said I can talk about 2024 too (and that’s the year we’re celebrating), I’m going with:

1. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
2. Metaphor: ReFantazio
3. Persona 3 Reload
4. Balatro
5. Unicorn Overlord

Yeah!

I’m (again) going with three.

1. Hades 2
2. Civilization 7
3. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

I’d love to meet someone else on this beautiful planet of ours who also has those three specific games as their “top three most anticipated games of 2025.” Seems like an unusual combo (or maybe I’m deluding myself).

Hmmmm, that’s a good question. I’m not sure if I can put Persona 3 Aigis Edition™ in the “besides unfinished ones” group, since I did technically start it (even if I only played for, like, 10 minutes).

If not that, maybe Cyberpunk 2077?

I hope Jalamenos found a body of water full of Druids discussing Final Fantasy 7 while wearing swimsuits (in seagull form).

And drank from it.
