When is The War Within patch 11.2.7 release date — and what’s in it?

World of Warcraft has maintained a solid content cadence ever since the start of Dragonflight and the recently-revealed 2025 roadmap for The War Within demonstrates there’s no suggestion it’ll stop any time soon. Patch 11.0.7 launched the week of December 17 and using that as a starting point we can project the release of subsequent patches. While recognizing that the farther we travel the 2025 roadmap the harder it becomes to predict dates, we forecast The War Within patch 11.2.7 will launch the week of November 18, 2025. 

Predicting release dates in the far future is a very inexact science, but the regular release of patches for the past couple years is making it easier to do so. By virtue of the 2025 roadmap we know patch 11.2.7 is the second patch coming in autumn and it should arrive after the start of the 21st anniversary. This strongly suggests a November release date, and while the week of November 18 seems most likely it wouldn’t be surprising to see it arrive the weeks of November 11 or 25 — normally I wouldn’t consider the week of a major holiday (Thanksgiving in the US is November 27) but there have been patches released that week in the past so it can’t be excluded. Regardless we shouldn’t expect the release date to slip into December.

What’s in patch 11.2.7?

While the 2025 roadmap seems to provide little information on patch 11.2.7 there are some strong hints as to what we should expect. As the likely final patch before Midnight’s pre-patch there should be plenty of quests and maybe even an event leading into the new expansion. The change of color to fel in the season banner on the roadmap suggests that we’ll be seeing the return of the WoW Remix during patch 11.2.7 with the Broken Isles of Legion as our destination this time.
