All rewards now unlocked in Diablo 4 Slay Ride to Hell event — and the Treasure Goblins will keep spawning until January!

The Diablo 4 team is giving us only holiday gift that matters: the gift of more Treasure Goblins. Here at Blizzard Watch, we are on record stating more Treasure Goblins directly equals more fun as you chase down these sneaky creatures for loot (and occasionally get yourself into trouble along the way). During the Slay Ride to Hell event from December 17 through January 2, these greedy Goblins will be spawning at an increased rate, with rewards for a Sanctuary-spanning Goblin hunt.

In addition to the loot you’ll pull from these Treasure Goblins’ packs, there are extra rewards based on how many Goblins are killed in total throughout Sanctuary. Note that some of these rewards are exclusive to players who own the Vessel of Hatred expansion, all related to specific expansion features including Runes, Undercity Tributes, and Citadel Coins. Otherwise, rewards are available to all players, whether they’re playing on seasonal or Eternal realms.

Thanks to everyone’s holiday-fueled Goblin-slaying fervor, all rewards for this event are now unlocked! Even if you haven’t killed a single Goblin, you just need to log on to the game to claim your rewards before the holiday ends on January 2.

Here are the rewards for the Slay Ride to Hell event, and because they’re all unlocked you can get them right now:

• Tier 1: Goblin Bag – 5,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Legendary Weapons cache (includes 3 Ancestral Legendary Items with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • 1 Legendary Rune and 2 Random runes
  • Random Undercity Tribute
• Tier 2: Goblin Bag – 10,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Unique and Legendary Weapons cache (includes three Ancestral Legendary items and one Ancestral Unique all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • Random Undercity Tribute
  • 1 Legendary Rune, 3 random Runes
• Tier 3: Greater Goblin Bag – 15,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Fruit of the Harvest Mount Trophy
  • Unique Weapons (includes three Ancestral Legendary items and two Ancestral Uniques all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • 5 Undercity Tributes of Radiance (United)
  • 2 Legendary Runes, 3 random Runes
• Tier 4: Greater Goblin Bag – 25,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • Harvest Mare’s Totem Mount Trophy
  • 3 Ancestral Uniques (all with a guaranteed Greater Affix)
  • 6 Runes (3 Legendary, 2 Rare, 1 random)
  • Citadel Coins
• Tier 5: Mythic Goblin Bag – 40,000,000 Goblins slain across Sanctuary
  • 1 Resplendent Spark
  • Harvest Mare’s Barding Mount Armor
  • 3 Ancestral Uniques, 8 Ancestral Legendary Items all with a guaranteed Greater Affix
  • 8 Runes (5 Legendary, 2 Rare, 1 random)
  • 3 Tributes of Ascendance (United)
  • 5 Tributes of Radiance (United)
  • 20,000 Citadel Coins

Just go to Goblin Square in Kyovashad (just off the waypoint) to claim your rewards — though cosmetic items will be claimed in the shop. If you decide to upgrade to Vessel of Hatred during the event, you’ll immediately be able to collect all expansion-specific rewards as well.

This event has delivered on its promise of Treasure Goblins. Diablo 4 has had events promising more Treasure Goblins in the past, but frankly I’ve always found them disappointing. Diablo 3 seasons occasionally doubled or tripled the number of Goblin spawns, which resulted in some very chaotic fun — I hope to see more of this in D4’s future.

In addition to these extra Goblins, the Mother’s Blessing buff will return for the duration, which means an extra 50% gold and extra 35% XP. Those bonuses are multiplicative, so that can mean big bonuses when combined with Elixirs or the seasonal Urn of Aggression. (We have some tips on speed leveling through the event, too.) With the season scheduled to end on January 21, this will give us all a big boost to finish our season goals before heading into the witchy season 7.
