The Queue: Everybody be going aaarrrrr

I’m not overly interested in Plunderstorm, but I can’t lie: Pepe makes a really cute pirate. Will that get me to play more Plunderstorm? Eeeehhhhhh….
If Ethereals were to become a playable race, what do you think their racials would be
Be their own transmog vendor. All of your friends can transmog just by talking to you, and you are suddenly the most popular player in your raid group.
Now that’s something that might get me to race change… but perhaps it’s unlikely since Void Elves already have a transmog-related racial perk. Except if anyone is a master of transmog, it is the Ethereals, who brought the concept to Azeroth in the first place.
What kind of hazard games do you think the Goblins would play at the Gallardo if WoW wasn’t a PEGI 12 game?
I think the Gallagio would see a lot more violence. Sure, games of chance are interesting, but how fun can it be without a few explosions? There’s already fighting in the Gellagio with robots, but there would definitely be betting on said robot fighting. And maybe goblins fighting robots, or animals fighting robots. Or big robots fighting swarms of smaller robots. I think the more violent, the better, and the more explosions, the better. The bets just start rolling in!
But things might swing the other direction, towards the mundane or even, dare I say it, wholesome. Maybe instead of competitive bloodsports in which the winner gets to live while everybody is betting in the background, there are competitive science fairs. Young goblins competing to make the best baking soda volcano, while proud parents have vicious fights with the bookies over the odds. Spelling bees with money quietly changing hands in the back while betters are shushed by people trying to watch the action. Rocketry competitions where they see which rocket can go the highest or the farthest. Sure, the explosions are frequent, but the intent isn’t actively to hurt anyone. (But the occasional explosion, even in a spelling bee, is what makes it fun.)
Q4tQ Um, why might we be going to the Timeless Isle in patch 11.1?
The Timeless Isle, by its nature, appears when it wants to. It is never late or early or out of place; it just is.
But if you were looking for a serious answer, I don’t have one. Sorry!
If I had a nickel for every time I wrote a ninja-themed queue right as the pirate-themed Plunderstorm started, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t much, but it’s weird that it happened twice
This statement has given me a revelation. And that revelation is that we need a Plunderstorm-style game mode where everyone is a ninja.
Q4tQ What are the current franchises for which you’ll immediately be excited for the next installment?
I am eagerly awaiting The Outer Worlds 2, and the good news is that it’s coming out this year.
Though reading all of your comments, I have to agree with a couple of games Ruka mentioned: Mass Effect (because I’m a hopeless case) and Wing Commander (who even owns this franchise today?). Though if I’m listing Mass Effect, I should also list Dragon Age (because I’m a hopeless case).
But most of these are games we either don’t expect sequels to or don’t expect sequels to soon. So I pose a different question to you all: which sequels are you looking forward to that are coming out this year?
Thanks for being here with us, everyone. I hope you’re having a good afternoon and have a pleasant weekend to come, where you can (again, hopefully) stay inside and warm. (If that’s not on the weekend’s agenda, it’s never too late to change your weekend plans to “nap under a blanket.”)
I’ll see you back here next week.
