The Queue: The festival!

The Year of the Snake is upon us, and while I do feel bad for people who aren’t all about the reptiles, I tend to enjoy them. It’s funny though, because I’d joined a few snake ID groups on Reddit just for my own backyard. I find most North American venomous snakes are extremely threatening looking — all spikes and glares and triangular heads and rattles. But the thing is, Reddit is international, so I’ve been learning about snakes from all around the world, and while the Russel’s viper and puff adders and cobras are much the same in terms of being clearly somebody to not screw with, I would absolutely be that idiot trying to handle the cute little Australian venomous guys. They call one of them — a cute little smooth stripey guy — the bandy bandy! But he’s crazy venomous!

Q4tQ When does the Lunar Festival start in modern WoW?
It’s supposed to be live now! I haven’t logged in to check, personally, but I trust Wowhead.
There isn’t supposed to be anything new or different in the Lunar Festival for 2025, but I’ve always really liked the styling of this holiday, so it’s always something to pick up if I missed it in past years. The Elders and the envelope hunt make this one of the best times for even very low-leveled alts to get a little boost. Plus, who doesn’t like fireworks? I mean, besides my father-in-law’s chihuahuas.
2BE: Xal’atath vs Sephiroth
Oh, Xal’atath every time. Even if I had Knights of the Round. She’d be the victor before the animation even completed the first time, while Sephiroth is just there trying to avoid humidity.
Though, I guess this depends a little on the era of Xal. Masamune would absolutely have a leg up on Knaifu in knife form.
Q4TQ: How are you doing with your New Year resolutions? I’m doing fine with mine. Then again it’s easy when you don’t make any.
I’m doing pretty okay, so far. I’ve made a couple healthier food swaps, with a focus on eating some kind of veg at every meal and portion control. I am a girl dinner grazer so sometimes lunch is a handful of cashews and a brownie from the kids’ lunch stash, but also with a handful of cashews here and there, that could be a wild swing in how much I’m actually consuming. I’m also setting timers and making sure I at least get up and do a lap around the house once an hour.
I’ve gotta be honest though, the only real difference I’ve noticed so far is that my increased water intake has led to me having to pee so often I was considering going to the clinic for a UTI last week. Of course I don’t expect results overnight (whatever that means), but I’m just kinda laughing at myself.
