The Queue: A Flock of Seagulls vs a Herd of Sauropods

Both are technically groups of Dinosaurs.

And yes, I’m listening to Space Age Love Song on repeat.

RED

yay, Mona Lisa Overdrive arrived! o/

I won’t do book recs because I have no idea what you’ve already read, but I will say that MLO might be his best work in my opinion.

MOVEWOW

My favorite bird in WoW is Mylune! :D

Mylune is clearly a mammal. She’s absolutely not a Dinosaur, and therefore, is twice incapable of being a bird. I’m hurt you would do this to me.

SOEROAH

I’m far too weak-willed to avoid getting into arguments with people who are confidently, condescendingly wrong. Hell, not even wrong, just dismissive of alternate interpretations of story.

Guy on youtube saying it’s “2nd grade reading comprehension” to come away from a titan watcher saying “Be warned, even your creators are fallible. Digging too deep into your past may bring about an abrupt end to your future” and the whole Algalon situation with “the titans might not care about mortals, even if they aren’t actively evil” instead of coming away with “the titans are our bestest friends until the evil new writers came in and ruined everything”.

A bullet list of responses I had to this comment:

  • Never apologize for heeding the siren call “Someone is wrong on the internet” because in the words of Panam Palmer “Someone has to.” It can’t always be me.
  • Whoever said that to you, if that’s what the gist of what they said actually was, is a giant Equus africanus and needs to be sat on and then defecated on by another.
  • People love to dismiss disagreement with idiocy. Heck, I know I do it. But it doesn’t change the fact that ”2nd grade reading comprehension’ in a world where kids that age probably use text way more than we did at that age is pretty short sighted as a rubric.
  • We are ants to the Titans. They do not care about us, they care about what happens to entire worlds, not individual members of a single species on said worlds. If they needed to wipe out every single living being on Azeroth to preserve her from Void corruption, they were prepared to do that.

JALAMENOS

Getting kind of sick of the Lich King reappearing in Warcraft every 4 months or so.

Just pretend it’s the next evolution of Lickilicky instead.

The LickKing — Forced into unholy undeath by licking a lamppost in winter, this fearsome Icy Tongue Pokemon can freeze the moisture out of the mouths of its enemies, or coat them in a horrid saliva that will freeze their bones. He also enjoys raising defeated Pokemon as an army of semi-dead minions, and Peach Cobbler with Neapolitan Ice Cream.

Now it’s fun instead of repetitive.

Or you could just hail Arfus instead. He is the one true Lick King.

KALCHEUS

Q4tQ Now that it has been a few weeks, what are your thoughts on Undermine? Story, raid, ambience, activities, etc.

It’s not Diablo.

I’m in a weird place where I still like WoW, but I honestly find it not really something I can play. Due to various personal reasons we’re short on money and even shorter on free time, so I just tend to focus on games I already have (Cyberpunk 2077, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Diablo 3, Diablo 4) and games I can play on Game Pass (Avowed, Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader, Slay the Spire)

Specifically, I play them for an hour or two at most. I really can’t get much done in WoW in an hour. So it’s on my back burner and is replaced by Diablo 3 or Diablo 4 in my gaming rotation.

As I’m writing this exit to the post, my playlist have switched to Vicarious by Tool. So I guess I’ll go try and live vicariously through y’all. Have a good day and enjoy yourselves while you may.
