The Queue: Gnome versus… wait, we’re fighting what?!

It’s a big dangerous world out there, but it does look a little bit bigger when you’re encountering it from gnome height. But if we were intimidated by every robot dinosaur and giant ape duo we saw, we would never get out of bed.

But for now, we can take a break between pulls to answer a few (a very few) questions.

Yes.

While in Season 1 you didn’t really have any reason to go past an 8 except bragging rights, in Season 2 the rewards improve each level. With Delver’s Bounty, you earn more shiny, shiny crests at higher levels to help you upgrade or craft gear. Shiny, shiny gear.

So run them at the highest level you can comfortablely run them at.

I really enjoyed the SUGOI Showcase, and wishlisted several games, but only one of them went straight into my shopping cart: Your House.

Nothing really caught my eye at Nintendo, but I do have a thought on the Zelda movie which is did anyone ask for a live-action Zelda movie? It seems rare that transitioning from animation to live action goes well. Can’t we just stick to the joys we know? Do we have to shoehorn real human actors into this? I am just a little skeptical.

Everyone here is a terrible goblin-car driver, so you’ll fit right in.

Some Gnomes do enjoy gardening, but you shouldn’t assume that all of them do, and the stereotype of the “Garden Gnome” that enjoys lurking in greenery 24/7 is frankly insulting. Sure, gardens are nice for a nap, but there are other things to do out there. You can’t just sit around the garden all day.

A hippopotamus.

Nature’s greatest creature. They are 3,000lb blobs that soak in the water for much of the day, sunbathing and snacking. They can’t swim or float, but they do trot along the river bottom and bounce up to the surface. They seem docile, exceptionally round herbivores, chilling in the river.

But if you mess with a hippo… well, you don’t mess with a hippo, because they will murder you. They’re herbivores, but they can kill alligators and lions. You just don’t mess with a hippo.

They aren’t great pets. Not really economical to keep at home. Also the liability insurance for a full-sized house hippo is probably impractically expensive. But if you were going to be an animal, you would want to be an animal that led a pretty chill life, but also one that other animals (people, etc) didn’t bother too much. The hippo is perfect.
