The Queue: Holding out for a

I know that the odds of Heroes of the Storm coming back into full production are pretty low, but that doesn’t stop me from taking a big whiff of Hopium every time we get news about it! Did you know that with Microsoft PC Gamepass you now get a nice pack of 30 Heroes in Heroes to play with? So if you were ever like, how do I even get into it when I don’t want to be relying on just the basic stuff like Jim Raynor. Now’s your opportunity!

Surely this means that Microsoft is looking at ways to build some hype prior to a full-throated re-launch at BlizzCon ’26!

While I start building my expectations sky-high, it’s time for — The Queue!

I think it’s that having easy access to most new games that come out has stopped me from buying almost any games at all. Why would I pay for something when it’s likely going to show up on Xbox Gamepass? I’m not a big replayer, so I don’t feel like buying it is as important as it used to be.

I know that Xbox Gamepass has also changed how I consume games. I used to complete the games I played without fail. Now, I’ve got lots of ones that have gotten left by the wayside as something else has taken my attention. Sometimes it’s as easy as I got busy for a week and didn’t have a chance to get back into it.

Sometimes I actively put off finishing a game. If I finish it, then it’s over! That can be a tough hurdle to overcome. I know that Liz can relate to this one, I have it on good authority she hasn’t finished reading the Murderbot series of novels for the same reason!

There’s nothing to be done for that, though, other than a game just springing the ending on me and then I have to just deal with that.

Yes, yes I would.

I almost always would like an avocado! They’re just so delicious. Shame that my love of them means I’ll never own a house.

I even spent a little extra at the grocery store and bought some for turkey sandwiches! Now I’m just playing the are they ripe yet game. It’s not quite yet, but they’ve gotta be ready any moment now. I hope I haven’t missed the window while I’ve been writing this…

No! Zandalari are pretty awesome, and I’ll never be upset about being a buff troll covered in gold tattoos. Especially since they let me turn into dinosaurs to bring the pain to my enemies.

It’s not the fun of being an Undead, though. Those bony folk are just the right kind of spooky. They’d have to do a big update to add a bunch of Druid forms to them, so I’m resigned to never getting the opportunity to play as an Undead Druid, but they could work! I think.

Who better to help maintain the balance between life and death than someone who has crossed to the other side? Makes sense to me!

So I think I know who I’d want to play my Druid, and that is Nicolas Cage. He can get as wacky and Cage-y as he wants with it. I’ll take the over-the-top performance that winds up being super memorable. I’m definitely not the strong stoic type in real life, so a more straight read from a Hemsworth type wouldn’t work.

I did think about Walton Goggins, he could be the runner-up if Cage is busy.

For an animated voice-only performance, I want Steve Blum to lend his raspiness to my bear.

For my Lady Blood Elf Paladin, there’s only one choice — Charlize Theron. This is the right choice, and I won’t be taking criticism at this point.
