The Queue: Character Creation Paralysis

Good news! We’re going to be playing Masks for the Tavern Watch RPG podcasts.

Sad news for me! I can only play one of the roughly eleventy trillion character concepts I have bouncing around in my head.

Honestly I think this is why I prefer games where I can either leap onto an endless loot pinata rampage like ARPG’s or just straight up create and upgrade my own gear (I mean, Monster Hunter has the loot design right in theory, if not always in practice) over games where I have to run the same dungeon over and over again to get loot that not only refuses to drop but then gets replaced In a very short amount of time.

I definitely think there’s a kind of dopamine drop once gear goes from Yay, awesome, it dropped to ah well, toss it in the woodchipper so I have mats for enchants later.

What sin could I have committed in a single lifetime that you showed me this, Daikaiju? How have I wronged you?

I’m not going to front here, this hit me like a bomb going off. Every expansion is someone’s first, I know, but to imagine that there are people playing WoW that weren’t alive in 2008 left me winded for a second. I mean, maybe I felt like this, but I’m okay now.

Just going to rest here for a second holding my knees and wheezing, I’ll be okay.

Nope, no release date yet. I’d expect to see it by late summer/early autumn.

I think you could do most if not all of TWW story stuff in a month, depending on how much you play in a day.

MH only, which is awful because I think there should be a DW wand spec for Mages. Maybe even a wand in each hand and then a third wand clenched in your teeth or on the end of your tail (if you have a tail) with Trolls being able to drop onto their backs like cats and use a wand in each hand and clench their toes around two more wands but without the ability to walk, turning themselves into Wand Turrets.

This means he was a year old when Wrath of the Lich King came out. (It released on  November 18, 2008, for those of us affected by Draygonia earlier.) Thank God, I wasn’t up for a second steel chairing today.

I mean, he was just barely a year old, but still.

Okay, that’s the Queue, and now I’ll sit here and decide between my idea for a heroic son/daughter/child of an evil world conquering mastermind villain, my idea for the clone of a superhero trying to be a superhero without losing their own identity in the process, and a character who ended up infused with the powers of a dying superhero but absolutely no idea how to use them.
