The Queue: Let us Queue once more (once more)

It feels like we were just here, doesn’t it? In the Queue.
Well, here we are again (or here we are still), so I suppose it’s time to get to some questions.
Q4tQ How are you doing this Wednesday my dudes?
We are at the halfway mark through the week. Escape is in sight!!
Has anyone else seen the changes they’ll be making to future timewalking? They’re definitely not live for this one, but I believe they go live for the next one. The intent is to make them more difficult, so they feel in-line with how they were on release.
I’m actually looking forward to it myself, I hate timewalking right now. It’s so mindless I have zero fun. Just follow the tank to each boss as they pull every piece of trash on the way (or if I’m the tank, pull all the trash on the way to the boss so the dps don’t complain I’m going too slow). A lot of people use it for leveling, though, so hopefully they’ll also increase the XP rewards, and since it’s going to take longer, they should probably drop the weekly from 5 to 3.
Blizzard has said they want Timewalking to be a more authentic experience and a challenge. I think there’s some truth to that: sometimes having to put in a little work to get through something can make it more fun. But it can also be really fun to just smash your way through a dungeon and not have to think too much about it. The joy of hulksmashing everything in your vicinity and collecting the loot as it falls. Some players may prefer one, some players may prefer the other, and I suspect a lot of us will go back and forth depending on how we feel when we log on.
There isn’t a right or wrong level of difficulty, but there may be a happy medium where it’s not too much of a steamroll but not too much of a challenge. The question will be whether Blizzard can find that balance that makes players on both sides happy.
i don’t know what “Dole whip” is, and i’m pretty sure i don’t wanna know.
You probably don’t want to know, because if you don’t have Dole Whip it’s better not to know that you’re missing out on delicious pineapple soft serve (sometimes served as a float, with ice cream in pineapple juice, but always delicious). I know it from its omnipresence at Disney parks, but the Georgia Renaissance Festival is closer than the nearest park so maybe I should check it out, too. For the ice cream, of course.
QftQ: how much you wanna bet my paladin won’t get a heroic Best-in-Slots mace in my vault after killing One-Armed Bandit last week?
Bonus question: how much you wanna bet the two Mythic track slots I have for doing 10s & 11s are either garbage trinkets, or for slots I already have?
I just assume that everyone is getting vaults full of lousy trinkets each week — sure, it’s possible that I’m just unlucky, but also TWW Season 2 is overflowing with mediocre trinkets looking for players to equip them. Meanwhile, House of Cards remains in One-Armed Bandit’s (metaphorical) back pocket…
It’s a weird, trinket filled tier, and I am sorry for the lot of us. (I myself have contented myself with equipping an alchemy stone and a Lock-n-Stalk trinket, which guides rate as C-tier for my spec, but nothing better has yet appeared.)
What do you think the new “scary story” mode in WoW will be?
I want to go all out into an Among Us mode, hunting for werewolves or undead who might hide in town. I’m not going to put any money on it actually happening, though… I suspect the game mode will lead more actiony: the smart money is on a Vampire Survivors type mode.
What ability from WoW would you like to carry into another game and why? Asking because I found what’s basically a Titan’s Grip mod for BG3 and I’m tempted to try it.
I think every game needs its own bubblehearth.
But what that bubblehearth is may vary. Bubblehearth itself is a profoundly ridiculous combination of abilities that doesn’t help you win battles or win friends (though it may make your friends laugh, which can help with making friends, but don’t count on that). Every game needs something like this, an ability or combination of abilities that is just dumb… but fun to press. Not a bubblehearth, but something that possesses the energy of a bubblehearth. That’s the winner.
