The Queue: Shock, awe, and dragon whelps

This expression? Shock and awe. But mostly shock. It’s one of those Wednesday moods.

But this is the Queue so let’s get to your questions.

I think the updated models are still looking good, in part because they aren’t aiming for perfect graphical fidelity: they’re stylized, and I think that helps them age better. Could Blizzard update them? Sure. Graphical quality can always be improved. But I don’t know that it would feel like a significant improvement, because the “new” models really have aged well.

Of course, I am also currently playing a gnome, and they got the best visual updates with the redesign. Their faces are ridiculously expressive.

If Blizzard were revisiting old graphical elements, I’d prefer to see older hair models updated, more classic armor updates, and perhaps the infinite dream of hair under hats.

I think this just sounds fun. I don’t know if it will be as rewarding as Horrific Visions or even Delves, but it just sounds fun. I’m into that.

The fun part of this particular skillset, at least in 5e, is that they’re all Charisma-based skills, so if you’re a Charisma based class you’re pretty good at all of them. (Though it does of course help to really invest in one.)

However, in gaming, I tend to invest in persuasion. (In real life it is also pretty valuable, I think.) Let’s all get along, people!

Blizzard did Cataclysm Classic. That suggests to me that they aren’t skipping any expansions.
