Looking forward to a quick Tuesday WoW maintenance — servers back online!

Have I cursed us by suggesting we’ll have a short maintenance? We’ll see, but at least today’s maintenance is only scheduled to last an hour. Apparently not, because the servers came back online this morning as scheduled. All WoW servers are now back online.

Here’s the maintenance schedule for Tuesday, July 8:

• The War Within: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
• Cataclysm Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
• WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am –  8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)

There’s new content on the horizon for every version of WoW, but nothing that seems to require extra maintenance (at least not this week). Here’s what’s coming up for your WoW version of choice in the coming weeks:

• July 10: Classic Anniversary realms launch Phase 5 with the Ahn’Qiraj war effort this Thursday
• July 21: Mists of Pandaria Classic launches, giving players access to Pandaria. The pre-patch is live right now and includes Monks and Pandaren.
• August 5: The War Within patch 11.2 launches, with Season 3 starting August 12.

We can expect extended maintenance for the Mists Classic launch and patch 11.2 launch, but we have plenty of time to play before then.

Servers came back up on time, and Azeroth is now open to all. I’ll see you there.
