The Queue: I’m in danger!
I don’t think they would let mounts stabled at the Trading Post eat customers, but I am wondering about this fel boar, who is ten times my size and has very hungry eyes. Fel isn’t usually my aesthetic, but you know, maybe this boar and I could be friends. Or enemies. Frenemies? Well, we’ll talk about the moral quandary of our mount collection in a minute. Let’s Queue.
Q4tQ Do you think we should get more full transformation mounts (like the Sandstone Drake or Tarecgosa) in WoW? While I love the Turbulent Timeways Corsair mount, I think it would’ve been cooler if the character transformed into it rather than rode it.
It would be extremely awesome to just become the Infinite Pirate Dragon that lives forever in your heart rather than enslaving an Infinite Pirate Dragon or whatever it is we do when we collect a new mount. (Are they our friends? Our prisoners? Creatures under our care and protection?) Some of the moral quandary of our mount collection fades away with mounts you transform into, though my favorite is the Obsidian Nightwing. (Being able to fly yourself around sort of infringes on a key Druid class fantasy, though.)
So I would agree, it would be better to become the mount than ride the mount, but mostly because it resolves moral quandaries.
How many days are left on the increased mount chance event? I’m trying to figure out if there’s a way to overlap a 30 day token between this event and the patch launch.
Collector’s Bounty lasts through July 29, so you have until the end of the month for mount farming. If you’re interested in collecting any reputation-based mounts — say, the ones offered by the Goblin Cartels — the Winds of Mysterious Fortune buff arrives July 15 and lasts through lasts until August 12, giving +200% rep for Dragonflight factions (though I’m not sure there are any mounts there) and +100% rep for War Within factions (including the Goblin cartels this time around). Also for rep, the Darkmoon Faire will be the first full week of the month.
You could spend a month’s sub time and catch all of those things… the hard part would be prioritizing what to work on.
I wonder if Red ever thought he’d be competing with gingerbread dudes for bestie of the month
Wow, and the rest of us aren’t even on the list. How disappointing. :(
Q4TQ: Have you bought or do you plan on buying anything over the Prime Day Deals? There’s some Govee outdoor lights that I’m thinking of buying.
Nothing for me this year, even though Prime Day is apparently longer and more sale-filled than ever. But I’m just not feeling like I need to stuff my house with more gadgets and just stuff. (Which is of course exactly what the sale aims to do, encourage us to buy things we don’t need because the deals are so good.)
Maybe I’m getting old, but being bombarded by advertisements and sale announcements doesn’t make me want to buy things, it just makes me feel tired.
That’s all for today, my friends. We’ve made it half-way through the week, so it’s time to celebrate! (Possibly by taking a nap.) Take care of yourself, good luck with those mount drops, and I’ll see you all back here next week.
