New crocolisk mount and pet for a WoW 6 month sub (sort of)

The Herald of Sa’bak mount and Sa’bak’s Favored battle pet are new 6 month subscription incentive rewards coming to specifically Retail WoW and WoW Classic Progression, respectively. If you want this sweet baby crocolisk-themed battle pet in Retail (or even in a non-Progression Classic, like Cata Classic), or the mount in Classic, that’s just tough.

As usual, if you’re already subbed on a 6-month recurring basis, and have a renewal date sometime in the future, this pet and mount combo has likely already been delivered to your battle.net gift inbox. If you really want just the mount or pet you can buy each one separately on the shop as well, though the version restriction is still in play.

I do think restricting the mount makes some amount of sense, since it is a Dragonriding-style mount. However, it’s also a ground mount if you’re tooling around on your lowbie alts, so I’m not sure how far that justification goes. As a Retail WoW girlie and avid pet collector, I’m pretty annoyed that I won’t be able to use the pet there, especially since Mists Classic is currently in the prepatch phase and so this little guy has to be ready for battle anyway. It has to be doubly deflating for people who are on a six month subscription who are actively playing on Anniversary servers, because they essentially get bupkis.
