The Queue: World of Mimecraft

Finally. After years of NPCs taunting us with their casual leaning against walls and other structures, with patch 11.2 we finally have the ability to /lean! While slouching against a wall is cool and all SJHawk pointed out in yesterday’s queue comments that it works without a wall, effectively making players mimes! Hopefully this is not the last mime-able emote as /pullrope and /againstthewind — cue Bob Seger — would allow us to further perform mimeish (mime-like? mime-style?) feats.

It’s been a week but it’s Friday so let’s answer some fun and have some questions!

That is pretty weird — there are plenty of new pets available in patch 11.2 but no wild ones. I don’t think they’ll add them in later either unfortunately.

As for why that could be the case my guess is that with all of the pets currently available in-game players just aren’t taking the time to capture wild ones all that much anymore (outside completionists and achievement hunters). One of the issues is lack of variety — most wild pets are from a few families like beast and critter, although you would think K’aresh would be the perfect place to buck this trend. The other though is that the development team seems all in on giving us a ton of collectibles every patch and if there are wild pets in addition to the drop/quest pets then players could get overwhelmed.

I do hope they haven’t abandoned wild pets entirely but it wouldn’t surprise me if they did.

I haven’t played either of my shadow priests since the patch so I can’t say how they play, sorry. However, I can say I am not very keen on the nerf that Hunters got. I get that balancing is important but things I was killing pre-patch shouldn’t take twice as long post-patch but they do. I’m sure after a few weeks I’ll have been buffed enough from gear improvements that mobs will die at the prior rate but it doesn’t change the fact that it doesn’t feel great right now.

Seriously, I expect it with patch 11.2.5 as we got Augmentation Evokers in a .5 patch. To be honest, though, I’m more curious if we’re going to get more races able to be demon hunters at the same time.

No, not at all. I was so confident that the final tier would take us to the bottom of the Coreway that I didn’t take the hints of K’aresh seriously until much later in the expansion. It still feels odd to me that we’re there dealing with Dimensius instead of aiding the Harronir (remember them?) and saving Azeroth. I get that this is part of the flexibility that announcing the Worldsoul Saga in advance offers the narrative team but there’s a dissonance compared to how it used to be done that gnaws at me.

We’ll finally get a Silksong update!

Currently none, although I was playing a ton of Balatro on it until I 100% it recently. I’ll probably start Birdigo and Spirit of the North 2 on it shortly.

I max out Tartarus in a night when I can. Persona scheduling is generally so tight for social links and stats that I don’t want to split Tartarus exploration across too many evenings.

The negative is that I wound up having to go back to rescue someone before the next full moon several times, so maybe the best play is to do it once while the moon is almost full.

This is a good question because there are several that fit in narratively based on how we know the next couple expansions are going to unfold:

• Ethereals/Brokers — it would make sense after the events on K’aresh that we gain some new allies from our efforts
• Naga — long a popular choice, the dev hint that we’ll be uniting elvish nations to defend the Sunwell in Midnight has many thinking we could get playable Naga as a result
• Harronir — they still seem positioned to become an allied race even if they haven’t been as prominent as we expected heading into The War Within

All that said, there is one clear choice: Vrykul.

Check to make sure the game didn’t accidentally set your campfire to random.

Ummmm … all of them? I’m honestly not sure what’s necessitating the bonus downtime.

Yes! … maybe. I was able to loot it last night, but I don’t know if that means it’s fixed or I just got lucky.

We do not! Season 2 tier bonuses will remain intact in Season 3, although you’ll want to replace them with the new tier as soon as you can.
