A happy little WoW maintenance kicks off the start of The War Within Season 3 — all servers are back online

Today’s WoW maintenance isn’t too long, but The War Within servers will be down for four hours while other WoW servers will have a quick hour of maintenance. Servers came back online as planned, with The War Within servers coming back online almost an hour early. The servers were pretty rocky initially, with login errors and endless loading screens. However, TWW servers currently seem to be online and stable — time to head to Manaforge Omega!

Here’s the WoW maintenance schedule for Tuesday, August 12:

• The War Within: Offline from 7am – 11am pacific (10am – 2pm eastern)
• Mists of Pandaria Classic: Offline from 7am – 8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)
• WoW Classic (including Classic Era, Season of Discovery, Anniversary, and Hardcore realms): Offline from 7am –  8am pacific (10am – 11am eastern)

Now that the realms come back online, The War Within Season 3 is live with the Manaforge Omega raid (LFR wing 1, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic), the Race to World First (probably with a lot of splits), new Mythic+ rotation (including the Tazavesh no deaths ultra hard mode), a new Delve season (in which Brann has gone from losing his hat to losing everything else), and the Ecological Succession event in which you can help Ve’nari kidnap animals. So there’s plenty to do when the servers come back up for our second week of patch 11.2.

Classic realms of all flavors only have a brief hour-long maintenance to contend with. Blink and you might miss it! I continue to encourage players who have time to kill before modern servers come back online to check out Mists Classic, because OG Pandaria is pretty great.
