The Queue: Whatcha watchin?

Anything going on? Nothing important? Should I just play video games and watch youtube all day? There was a Hearthstone Battlegrounds balance pass slated for later today, maybe I’ll check that out.

This is The Queue, our daily column where you ask us questions and I might answer if you bribe me with peanut m&ms.

The cinematic reveal is tonight, at some point during the Opening Night Live event from gamescom. It’s slated to start at 2 pm EST — which is literally New Queue Time, so if you’re catching this when it’s fresh, run to YouTube now. However, the trailer could air at any point during the two-hour show. That two hours has an asterisk, because it’s live, so there’s an even bigger question mark at play. If I were going to have to put money on it, I would guess it’s going to drop around an hour and a half in, since I have to go pick up my son from school at 3:30 EST. We all know how the site curse works by now, it doesn’t require further explanation.

After that, there are events and panels and deep dives going for the next few days as well. They’ve posted the full stage schedule, but they haven’t said how much of this additional info — if any of it — will be livestreamed for those of us at home. I mean, you’d think it would have to be, right? And yet.

I bought beer because if Xal’atath either screams and breaks the sky or chucks a vial of something other than a few drops of water of the first Well of Eternity into the Sunwell to make it a Voidwell I deserve one.

Beyond that I’m just always excited for more player housing. I would really appreciate just… having it, but showing me more (and MORE) is better than nothing I guess.

It would be easy to say someone like Sindragosa with her famously shrieked voice lines, or Magni with his WOONZ. But for my money, if we’re talking worst adventuring buddy, I’d point directly at Prince Anduin Wrynn circa Mists of Pandaria. He runs off in every direction aggroing everything, he hangs out with several different characters he should be incredibly wary of, and he gets crushed by a freakin bell — and that’s somehow my fault! He’s also absolutely useless in combat, except when I free him, and then he cold clocks me in the head. And what’s worse, he’s whiny about it the whole freakin time.

I know we like to meme on Brann but Anduin at that point was not only useless and annoying but actively a saboteur. I don’t mind hanging with him in the inn, but stay out of my Delve.
