A void demon hunter, you say? A void hunter, if you will? I admit I am intrigued with the idea of a new ranged spec, even a new mid-range and highly weird ranged spec like this demon hunter appears to be.

Transmog updates:
Transmog is freeeee!
Also, situational transmog that changes depending on what you’re doing (think city clothes from GW2).
Well, I have bad news for you: transmog is not free. This appears to have been incorrectly reported (or perhaps hopefully reported).
Transmog is going to be less expensive but not free.
As I understand it, and we will likely get more clarification in the Midnight panel at Gamescom tomorrow, is that transmog is slot based rather than item based. So if you transmog your shoulders into something perfect and then get a new pair of shoulders, you don’t have retransmog: your shoulder slot will keep the same appearance.
Also there is situational transmog of some kind, which sounds as you are describing it: a change that’s automatic when you go from one state to another, perhaps a casual transmog for hanging out around the house and another transmog for crushing raid bosses.
Dear Blizzard,
as a Void Elf main who should be super excited about my “time to shine” — a whole Void-themed expansion! — but, instead, find myself worried about the prospect of losing the best racial in the game and getting something akin to what Humans got when they lost Diplomacy (a nearly useless second Hearthstone change)…
…I will gladly accept “50% off on repair costs” as a replacement.

Well, I have good news for you: your racial probably isn’t changing and will still be the most powerful ability in the game.
TBPH, not a fan of the “mid-range” class idea. It plays holy hell with my expectations. “Nope, too far. Still too far.”
The new demon hunter spec is interesting because it’s a hybrid spec that leans into DH mobility to jump in and out of melee. We don’t have full details yet but it’s certainly going to be more melee-esque than an evoker.
Q4tQ: Think we will see Bwonsamdi or Vol’jin in Midnight?
As much as it would be cool to see both of them again, I think it’s unlikely. WoW has a long history of dropping story threads and characters if the current writers have a different idea and/or there’s been a staff change: everyone writes the stories they’re interested in, which may not have any link to the last expansion(s). I just don’t think Metzen is going to take us back to Shadowlands Battle for Azeroth characters.
Q4tQ: What are the odds Void Elf Demon Hunters will be out in time for Legion Remix?
I think the odds are extremely low. Legion Remix is coming in patch 11.2.5, i.e. very soon. Blizzard has never released a new class this early, and even though this is just a new spec it still seems unlikely.
Sorry, but I think we’re going to have to wait until pre-patch, which is still a ways away.
