The Queue: I’m kinda mad about Bloodlines 2

I mean, sure, it’s Paradox Interactive so I can’t pretend to be surprised, but finding out that two of the playable Vampire clans in Vampire the Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 are going to be locked behind a $20 paywall has really bummed me out.

There are six playable clans in this game, and of the four you get for the purchase price of $70 USD — the Banu Haqim, Brujah, Tremere and Ventrue — only one of the four is even remotely interesting to me. But I’d play the heck out of a Toreador. And the idea of having to spend ninety UD dollars just to get a clan I actually want to play does not exactly fill me with excitement.

Anyway, with that out of the way, let’s talk about Arator’s weird facial hair.

I mean, Arator’s parents left him behind while they went off into spending a thousand years drifting in the Twisting Nether and while gone, his mom embraced the power of the Void while his dad literally became a walking vessel for the Light. So I’m sure the kid has had to deal with some wild arguments around the dinner table ever since they came back.

Or do you mean the pointy beard? That just seems to be an Elf thing. Lor’themar’s rocking a beard so pointy he actually has it tied off to keep it under control.

Do you mean my favorite character as in Thrall, or Jaina, or Sylvanas, or do you mean my characters? Because the first, sure, delete them. If the second, nope. I got my shoulders. That’s all I need. I do not want any of my Warrior babies to get wiped so they can show up in a cinematic, especially since there’s no way they’ll ever be as popular as Stony Danza or Zappyboi.

Probably like a house with arms and legs? Like a medieval version of Shacktron from Gravity Falls, I guess.

Or maybe a tree robot since I’m usually a Night Elf nowadays. Oooh, maybe that’s what the Ancients we see in Night Elf zones are? No. No it isn’t, but now I want to live in a walking tree. Thanks for that, MM.

God, I don’t want Midnight to launch tomorrow. I actually came back to do patch 11.2 and by all things blown up and voidy I am not ready to be done with K’aresh yet. I just need a couple of months to explore all this, okay? No, no, please no in my best Michael Scott impression, I don’t want Midnight yet.

I seem to be enjoying it a lot more than other people I talk to, which is weird for me — my reputation as a curmudgeon who hates everything may be in danger if I keep skipping around doing quests and having a good time on the blasted, nightmarish revenant of a world of K’aresh. I mean, I an hardly going to try and do the raid or anything, but I do enjoy the questing I’m getting to do and maybe I’ll run into some Delves again.

Seriously, I’m so so mad/sad about the Bloodlines 2 paywall DLC for the Lasombra and Toreador. I’d cry about it if I wouldn’t have to spend blood points for it.
