The Queue: Pizza!
Pizza is so great, I love pizza.
Is it the perfect food? Possibly. As long as you’re not gluten or lactose-intolerant, that is. I would put it up against any other food in a March Madness-style bracket any day and expect a top-four finish at least. The other things at the top are likely burritos, bread, and French fries. I’m willing to hear arguments about what you think is more deserving of a top slot, but they’d have to be Atticus Finch levels of convincing for me to change anything there in the final brackets.
While I eat another slice, it’s time for — The Queue!
Easy Q4tQ: now that we’ve had a big Midnight infodump over the past week, what are you most looking forward to? What do you think is going to change the game most for you?
There was a lot of stuff! Here are all of the articles that we at Blizzard Watch wrote about things happening on the Midnight front.
I think it’s the Housing that’s really going to change things up and could entice me back to Azeroth. At least long enough to build a giant skull throne out of some of my favorite skulls!
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a major major permanent change to Warcraft like this. You could say that new classes are a major change, or UI editing, or things similar to those. However, I think it’s been since Pet Battles or Transmog were introduced that there’s been a new feature added that you can build your whole playtime around.
I just hope that they add the Undead/Venthyr/Maldraxxi/Old God style housing sooner rather than later so I can truly make the madness-inducing house of my dreams.
Q4tQ: Does the manafrog imply the existence of an ironfrog? A Shadowfrog? A lightfrog?
Well, you can try infusing iron into a frog, but I think you just get a lot of stabbed/flattened frogs. I also think that most of the Mage and Shaman elements wouldn’t work for the same reason. I mean we all know what happens to a toad that’s struck by lightning…
I do fully believe that Fel, Shadow, and Light would work as viable frog infusions, though. Maybe it’s just up to enterprising players to go out and start experimenting with frogs! It could be the next secret finding task to make a whole collection of magical frogs to combine like Voltron.
I went to look at (and revel in) Liquids win and saw this in the BW article:
“This is probably it from me here at Blizzard Watch”
Did Liz just lowkey drop a resignation note into a world first article?!
Liz is tired, man!
She’s just saying that those who got second and third place (Echo and Method, respectively) aren’t going to get a follow-up article now that we know the big winners are.
Likely because she’s napping. She did the heroic job of writing all but one of the Race to World First update articles, while also still editing Midnight release information with Anna. Let the woman sleep!
I don’t think she’s going to be resigning any time soon, though. We’re all going to be fortunate to keep working with her for a long while! (I hope)
Seeing as ilevels would be in the 4 digits by the first raid in the next xpac (again) i assume its coming with another gear squish?
Yep! Ion Hazzikostas confirmed in a chat with MrGM that there would be a big squish coming. Expect to see numbers in the hundreds and thousands again. Hopefully, this means that they’ll have a smoother leveling/gear curve again, as it’s kind of rough as players come closer to the current expansion.
I do wish that Blizzard made it easier to find all of their information after events like this, though. There are so many different sources of news tidbits all over the place, and it’s easy to miss something important.

Today’s Bacardi is ready to curl up with a good book, or five. So you’d better get your loot asks in quickly before he gets too engrossed in something.
Would you rather
Eat a really good Calzone
Or
Eat a kinda mediocre Pizza?
