The Queue: Let’s celebrate King Krush for some reason
This is King Krush, a big Devilsaur that can be found in Sholazar Basin. We should celebrate him, for some reason.
Welcome to The Queue, where everything is made up and the points don’t matter. The only thing that matters is answering your questions!
Q4tQ: Midnights player housing addition feels like the biggest addition since Battle Pets and Transmog — Do you think that it can live up to the hype?
I absolutely do. With Battle Pets and Transmog, we didn’t get a huge amount of hype, months of previews, content creators seeming legitimately excited about it. And it’s been something on our collective minds for so long: many believed Blizzard would never do it, others thought they’d do a lackluster job. Instead, what we’ve seen so far seems very solid, far beyond the best expectations most of us had.
So yeah, while giving in to hype can be a dangerous thing, this seems like a relatively safer bet. Get hype.
QftQ: Outside of the various races of either faction, if you got to pick two other building styles for houses from various reputations/factions, which would you choose?
I think I want a massive furbolg tree stump house, and something that is just a kobold cave in a hillside. XD
I want Draenei architecture. A little bit of what we seen in Draenor, with Auchindoun (the dungeon, with the golden halls). A little bit of that “spaceships inside huge crystals” vibe.
A second one would definitely be Gilnean architecture. Give me that victorian werewolf vibe, and let me pick the rainy atmosphere to go with it.
Q4tQ With August rapidly coming to a close, what new games coming in September are you looking forward to?
There are two, actually!
First and foremost, Garfield Kart 2: All You Can Drift Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. This one I’ll probably get and play almost immediately. FFT is one of my favorite games of all time, and I can’t wait for this remaster.
Then, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. I’ve wanted to get into the Trails series for a long time now, but it’s a daunting ask. I’ve played a few hours of the original Trails in the Sky, and I enjoyed it (Estelle = Bestelle), but I didn’t feel like finishing it — perhaps it was too dated and I didn’t have the patience at the time. But this isn’t just a remaster: it’s a remake! And early previews seem pretty positive so far. So while I might not play it immediately, I definitely want to check it out.

Do you ever wonder if we spend too much time looking forward to upcoming games and not enough enjoying the ones we have? Asking because while I’m still playing P3R, the game just keeps making me think of how good P4R is going to be.
It’s a balancing act! I try not to fall prey to it. I’m definitely guilty of savoring my games, slowly. Slower than most of my peers, from what I can see in discussions here in The Queue or our Discord.
But do try not to play one game while thinking about the next one, if you can! Savor what you have now: it’s going to be quiiiiite a while until P4R is here.
1) Q4tQ: Call it now, who’s the final boss of Midnight! Bonus: who’s your wildcard pick?
2) Q4tQ: Should Blizzard design all +5 man rares to automatically get weaker each hour they are up after they spawn?
3) Q4tQ: OctoRed Traveler! What job would you pick for yourself if you were teleported to Orsterra: apothecary, cleric, dancer, hunter, merchant, scholar, thief, or warrior?
1) I actually think it’s Xal’atath. I think Blizzard won’t keep extending her for too long — avoid that fatigue. Midnight, an expansion about the Void as a threat to Azeroth? It’s the perfect moment for Xal as the main antagonist, and for The Last Titan, we’ll probably be dealing with remaining threats from Dragonflight and beyond.
Wildcard pick: I’d love to just steal Moose’s answer and say Turalyon. But I’m going with…
Yogg-Saron.
The next expansion, The Last Titan, is supposed to take place in Northrend. Maybe the fight against the Void that begins at Quel’thalas takes us further north. As the Void power is scattered, the Old Gods absorb it. Yogg, the closest one, eats the other Old Gods is the first to rise. Defeating and re-sealing him reveals a major threat already lurking in Dragonblight: Galakrond. dun dun dun. The Last Titan begins.
2) That’s a pretty good idea, actually. Though it should probably differ depending on certain factors: if the zone is current or old, if the Rare has a long or short spawn timer, if it can drop something coveted like a mount, etc. But overall, I’m a big fan of this idea.
3) Hmm… hard to say, between apothecary and scholar. The former would give me ample access to medicine, something which I’d probably want living in a medieval world. The latter would probably allow me to live a very chill life, the closest possible to my real-world life. If you press me right now, I’m going with scholar.
((what did we do?))
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID. 😡
