The Queue: Let’s all go to the zoo!

Somebody here gets to go to the zoo today and it is not me. I am extremely jealous, but despite that I am still here to write the Queue. Responsibility really is just the worst.

But let’s get to the questions.

TELWAR ASKED:

QftQ: How likely are you (assuming you’re playing) to do TW Firelands? If so, how many attempts is it going to take to get Ragnaros down?

Pretty good odds I’ll run Firelands this week. Cataclysm isn’t my favorite Timewalking, but my guild usually squeezes in Timewalking raids when they’re available, and this early in the season they can still have pretty good gear.

Plus, because it’s a guild group, there aren’t any of the dangers of LFG and its inevitable wipes.

FUZZYBUNNY ASKED:

Qs4tQ:
Do you think early access gives world firsters an advantage?
Do you think early access might be meant to help world firsters get a faster prep as a way to build PR for the game when the actual raids happen?

I honestly don’t think this does anything to help world firsters, because they don’t have early access to Mythic+, high tier Delves, raids, high level crafting, the catalyst, or anything else that would get them the kind of gear they need for raids. It lets them hit max level a little faster, but with how fast they tend to level, it not really giving them an edge in the race. Only high level gear drops will do that.

The biggest problem with early access is, I think, for the rest of us. We all have at least a little fear of missing out, and I think there can be a real feeling of disappointment and exclusion when you can’t level with your friends or enjoy all of the conversations they’re having about the expansion because you aren’t there. That’s a lousy feeling to have.

But I really don’t think early access conveys significant advantage to anyone. You’re leveling a little faster, but leveling is such a small part of the game that it’s just not very consequential.

K’ALCHEUS ASKED:

Q4tQ What animals should I go see at the Kansas City Zoo tomorrow?

In my opinion, you always have to see the elephants and the hippos.

P.s., do not attempt to hug the hippos, no matter how huggable they look.

That’s all for today, Queue. Take care out there, and I’ll see you in the comments section.

P.s., do not hug any hippos, really, I am serious about this.
