There’s no soup (that we know of) but there are a lot of great zone events coming in Midnight
Each of the new zones in World of Warcraft Midnight will have zone-specific events and open world activities that include a variety of objectives designed to interest all types of players. These events appear to reflect their zone’s current state of affairs and give players different things to do and experience and, more importantly, earn potential loot.
We got a peek into each event coming to the first four zones in Midnight so let’s take a look at what they are!
Eversong Woods — Silvermoon Court/Saltheril’s Soiree
In Eversong Woods, players will take on different weekly quests and public events to earn reputation with one of the four different Silvermoon military factions. These are designed to be reminiscent of Burning Crusade-era reputation grinding, but with the anticipated benefit of being streamlined where players could also passively earn reputation across the board for each faction.
Notably, each faction has its own reputation track and associated cosmetic rewards.
Zul’Aman — Amani Abyss
The Amani Abyss is a fishing event area that requires players to score as many points as they can by donning diving gear and spearing fish. The more points you earn, the more you can upgrade your diving gear, which lets you dive into deeper areas of the Abyss. It sounds like the event difficulty and point threshold will increase the deeper you go but with the chance to earn higher tier rewards for you effort. The rewards we know about will be for your diving and fishing equipment but we don’t know if other world loot will be obtainable.
All Midnight zones — Abundance
Abundance is a professions-centric public event that requires players to gather materials for the Loa of Abundance, and while we don’t know exactly what players will gather, we can anticipate a place for each gathering profession to contribute to this event. This event is available in all of the Midnight zones, however, so it remains to be seen what differences will appear in each zone and how this event could impact profession levelling in the new expansion.
Harandar — Legends of the Haranir
Legends of the Haranir sounds like an off-shoot of Lorewalking where players can take on mini-quests filled with lore that focus on the past history of the Haranir’s Hara’ti Tribe. This event gives players a chance to learn about the first named faction of the Haranir, and lines up well with them as a new playable race.
Voidstorm — Stormarion Assault
Stormarion Assault involves working with the Void Elves to defend a Singularity Anchor in Stormarion Citadel. This event gives the impression it is half-tower defense, half-survival mode assault as it apparently gives players the opportunity to plan defenses ahead of time to fight off waves of void enemies.
This is just a snapshot of each zone’s event and there is still a lot to learn about the details, and rewards, of each one. As we learn more about Midnight leading up to its release, we’ll keep you updated on everything we learn about these new events.
