The Queue: I never feel rested

I vaguely remember what it felt like, but I haven’t experienced it in literal years at this point.

It’s the Queue. I’m so so tired.

My brain had not really twigged to the fact that we’re almost done with 2025 until I read this sentence, and ever since I’ve been kind of grappling with the fact that Midnight is potentially going to come out within 9 months.

Our void baby is almost here, y’all.

See, I like this but every so often I’m reminded that some Pokemon do things like eat the souls of dead children or drag other Pokemon underground to their deaths. As much as I love the idea of a cozycore Pokemon game where it’s just you and your loveable little pocket monster (and please don’t make the obvious jokes about pocket monsters, I’m begging you) I do also think there’s a fair amount of cosmic horror to be found in the Pokemon universe.

So maybe a Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon style game? Something where you’re free to focus on the yay having fun with my magical fox creature that can turn into practically anything or go more left field into my balloon wants to float away with a small child who will never be seen again and we just try not to talk about what that means.

Sometimes I think we’re too insistent that classes in WoW can’t have the same abilities. Perhaps it’s because I came up from tabletop RPG’s, but I have years and years of memories of two people in the party being able to cast the same spells and do the same things despite not being the same class — admittedly, games with multiclassing (which WoW doesn’t have) muddy the waters here.

I don’t know. I like the idea of Shaman having a menagerie of elemental friends they hang out with, and Mages being able to create a servitor by binding elemental forces via complex arcanomathology or what have you. If you’ve looked at Dee’s Enochian elemental lords you know what I mean.

Similarly, is it really a big deal if Warlocks and Demon Hunters can both cast Metamorphosis? Would it really break the game if Shaman could use swords? How can my Warrior use the Warglaives of Azzinoth but not any other Warglaives? Why can’t a Paladin use a 2h weapon and a shield to tank the way I used to be able to back in the day on my Wrath of the Lich King era Fury Warrior? (I’m not saying this was an optimal tanking choice, but it saved at least three bad pulls from turning into wipes.)

Maybe I’m weird here.

I think most people who are interested in ReLegion will be happy to roll their mains through Brewfest for a shot at the new mount and then go back to ReLegioning their way through the land.

I gotta tell you, dealing with Kagha as the Dark Urge really made that whole exchange extremely weird for me. Like, for me? Kagha’s problem was that she was too wishy washy about it. If you’re going to kill horned preadolescents, then get on with it already.

Peanut butter is gluten free, right? I used to eat these a fair bit when I was having my you can’t eat gluten until we rule that out thing.

The last one I can remember is this one from earlier in The War Within, and the last series I can recall (not just a one shot) was the Shadowlands: Afterlives shorts they did for, well, Shadowlands.
