The Queue: Our house is a very very very fine house
Player Housing has only just begun (in fact, it hasn’t even officially started yet) and I already find myself thinking “I wanna play some WoW, but I don’t wanna do anything ‘serious’ right now… guess I’ll just mess with my house for a few minutes.”
This is great. I like this.
Welcome to The Queue, where we talk about an assortment of things, and also our very very very fine houses.
A clear plot boundary indicator would help, Blizzard!
YES.
I used the limited amount of fences I had (plus a few obviously-not-a-fence objects) to delimit my own plot yesterday, and it was a ton of, frankly, unnecessary work. From a programming standpoint, it would be trivial (I have to assume) for them to just show us the natural limits of our plots.
1) Which of the 8 jobs will you pick for your character in Octopath Zero?
2) Which of the Metroid Prime 4 biomes would you want to explore first: jungle, desert, lightning factory, volcano, or glacier?
3) Between Legion Remix and 11.2.7, where are you spending the majority of your time? Do you still have stuff left to do in the other?
4) What sort of food would you serve to a visiting racoon?
1) Undecided, but I lean towards Thief or Scholar (the “rogue” and “mage” archetypes are common favorites of mine in RPGs). Dancer is the dark horse.
2) Lightning factory sounds neat, but doesn’t feel much like a “first zone” to be honest. I think it would be either that one or glacier. Maaaaybe desert. Not volcano, that’s for sure.
3) I’ve slowed down a lot on Remix, I’m usually doing one mythic raid a day and that’s it. I just have a few transmog sets left to collect; I’m in no rush. (I’m not trying to collect everything, just what interests me.)
11.2.7 has a TON of content that I’m yet to do, between Housing, Turbulent Timeways, Pandaren Heritage, new questline, and probably more. I’m a bit overwhelmed, but in a good way. So most of my focus is on the live game right now.
4) Some nuts and berries! Maybe, like, an apple or a banana.
NOT a frog. I would not serve a frog to a visiting raccoon. That’s just mean.
Unless said frog had been prepared by a French chef. Or by a rat hiding under said French chef’s hat and whispering instructions to him. I dunno.
1) Q4tQ The Game Awards are in a week. What are you expecting to see? What are you hoping to see?
2) Q4tQ Do you expect a Persona game to be released in 2026?
1) I expect and hope to see both Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hades 2 walking away with some awards. Those are absolutely phenomenal games, and the former, in particular, really pushes the envelope with super fresh ideas in terms of both gameplay and narrative.
Not to mention, games like those two are paving the way for the success of “indie” or “AA” games — something that the game industry sorely needs, with AAA game companies becoming more and more greedy and unreasonable, negatively affecting both consumers and the people working on those games. So here’s to more games made with love and passion instead of microtransactions, DLC, loot boxes, and live service.
As for announcements, no expectations here — I always try to control my hype and let myself be surprised. (But Persona 6, though. Please, deities of the Atlusverse, I beg you. Yaldabaoth. Nyarlathotep. YHVH. Mara. wait)
2) Honestly, no. I think they’d have announced it by now. Unless they announce it very early in 2026 for a “late 2026” release — but that seems a bit unlikely. I’d love to be wrong, of course.
What are your favorite weapons to use in games? Asking because every time I scroll down the BW homepage and see the woman with the giant hammer, some part of my brain tries to get me to play Guild Wars.
Oooh, given that I’m currently super enamored with Hades 2 (which has six weapons, each with completely different playstyles), this is a great question.
I really like “fire and forget” weapons. Heat-seeking / auto target lock in and the like. Call me lazy if you will, but there’s something to be said about worrying about positioning yourself, dodging, knowing when to approach and to back off, etc., while your weapon does the job of aiming at enemies for you. It’s kinda like being the operator of a tank, while someone else mans the turret. I really dig that kind of gameplay.
But I’m talking “function,” not “form.” If we go back to form, I really dig a good sword, especially quicker blades like scimitars or katanas or glaives (dual-wielded is a bonus, but not a requirement). I like the idea of “get in, chop chop chop real quick, get out.”
Though I admit there’s also something super satisfying about slow, heavy-hitting weapons. A giant axe or even mace/hammer that goes KAPLOW after you wind it up feels great. But I tend to suck with those types of weapons — something about being a sitting duck as I aim my hits. So they’re definitely not my first picks.
Finally, I also tend to like the good old bow & arrow. If it’s an option on any given game, I’m certainly gonna give it a whirl at some point, and try to make it work.
I’ve never seen Sailor Moon, can you verify that Mars is in fact the best one?
They’re all good Sailors, Raffle.
But I mean, if you like girls who have long black hair, employ traditional Japanese priestess (“shrine-maiden”-style) arts and wield Fire powers, then you might definitely like Yukiko Amagi from Persona 4 Sailor Mars!

I don’t really have a “plan” for building my house; I just click things and test them, and if they look nice, I adjust and keep them. We’re still figuring this out.
Do ask questions and share pics of your housing creations, Queue, and have a good weekend!
