All the free games in the 2025 daily Epic Games Store advent calendar
Every year the Epic Games Store gives away a game for free every day toward the end of the year, giving gamers a reason to celebrate the holiday season other than egg nog and cookies. This year will be no different, with the giveaway beginning December 18, and likely stretching into January as in previous years. Also as in previous years, there have been plenty of quote-unquote “leaks,” though none of the ones circulating seem to be accurate.
In past years, we’ve seen games that run the gamut of price points, genres, vibes, and notoriety, from site favorite but inexpensive pixel art games like Vampire Survivors to big-budget cinematic AAA titles like Death Stranding, and everything in between. In addition to Vampire Survivors, last year’s giveaway featured Control, Dredge, and Sifu. There are also usually some repeats from previous giveaways, for people who religiously snap up Epic Games Store’s weekly free games.
Here is the list of games being given away to celebrate the 2025 holiday season:
- December 18: Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel
- December 19: Eternights Rated M
- December 20: Blood West Rated M
- December 21: Sorry, We’re Closed Rated M
- December 22: Paradise Killer Rated M
- December 23: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
In order to get the free game, just make an account on Epic, log in either via the web or via the app, then navigate to the storefront and scroll til you see the free games. If you’re logged in on the web, you can also just click the links above, though note that the links will remain active even after the free promotion is over.
If you don’t like today’s game, the rollover for tomorrow’s game generally occurs at 11 am ET, which is 16:00 UTC. If you aren’t into timezone math, the store’s front page also has a real-time countdown to their next offering. Also note that sometimes the store page doesn’t set itself to Free right away so if you go to the game and it still has a cost check again later.
