The Queue: The dawn of the first Wednesday

Congratulate yourself, because you’ve made it half-way through a challenging post-holiday week. It is the first Wednesday of the year (my dudes), so hang in there and we can all make it through the weekend together.

But for now, this is the Queue, our daily Q&A column where we can all hang out and chat instead of doing anything productive. Let’s get to it.

I’m hoping for Shadowlands.

Not because I particularly love Shadowlands, but because Shadowlands has a very annoying selection of collectables to earn, and I definitely did not play one of each armor class through every covenant, and max out all of their special events, and grind out enough currency to buy everything. It’s an expansion with a massive number of cosmetics, and a Remix would make doing that a lot easier.

I think BfA had some of the best storytelling of any expansion we’ve ever had. I think Battle for Dazar’alor is the best raid Blizzard has ever made. But the story it was telling was highly antagonistic, focused on faction conflict in a way that doesn’t suit the direction Blizzard is taking WoW right now (I hope). It’s not an expansion you play together with friends just because they’re friends. It’s an expansion you play together as long as your friends are the right faction. You still can’t cross-faction raid Dazar’alor, even if you go in a guild group or a group you’ve made. Because there are faction-specific encounters, they just aren’t possible. (This is also a point against Wrath of the Lich King.)

But anything could happen. Perhaps Blizzard will surprise us all and send us back to Draenor. (Again.)

You’re just going to hear about how he’s sacrificed everything, what have you given? Just keep wandering around until you find a flight master. It’s not worth trying to have a conversation with a Demon Hunter.

I only have six alts I want to level. I’m sure I’ll get that done, no problem. Oh, also I want to finish the main story quest. Not a big deal!

Remix has been running in a really bad time for me, personally. There haven’t been enough hours in the day. Hopefully I can make some progress this weekend. Or maybe after I finish this Queue? There’s a thought!

Bright blue SUVs for the win.

Well, mine’s a Honda HRV, so it’s a baby SUV, but I think the point remains valid. So my advice is, clearly, to buy a new car.
