Cleaning these huge cats is sometimes a challenge, even for the Girl With The Dogs

We have featured Girl With The Dogs before for its impressive videos navigating grooms for many difficult animals. Channel owner Vanessa De Prophetis professionally groomed pets for almost a decade before 2020, when she launched her TikTok account to “educate pet owners on how to care for their scraggly pets” (while also curing her pandemic boredom). Now, her YouTube and TikTok accounts have millions of followers, and she is currently working to launch a foster-based nonprofit in Ontario focused on extremely small dogs with complex medical needs, as well as providing financial assistance for veterinary care and grooming to pet owners in need. We’re back to highlight her tackling the grooms of some cats of truly impressive size.

Rick, aka Ricky, aka Lil Rick, is a former barn cat who starts his grooming session by scorning the tube treat and seeking an escape route. Luckily (as expressed in the comments), the combination of cone and happy hoodie appears to block his reception of the collective orange brain cell. He may be wiggly, but that’s the bulk of his efforts.

Ender the Maine Coon mix is a 47-pound squirmer. He is totally unimpressed by his manicure, but the bathtub is absolutely his speed.  Yes, the water hose does inspire a few refrains of the song of his people, but otherwise he’s an complete sweetie. He even accepts treats at the end, when most cats are absolutely, completely done with the process.

Kevin is an orange and white Maine Coon with the unique ability to maintain an expression of “aggressively unimpressed” throughout his entire grooming video. Other than his ongoing stare, he behaves like a saint among cats. Clearly Vanessa survives the silent emotional damage, but I imagine it was a close call.

Diego the former barn cat may have tried to execute a few half-hearted escape attempts, but don’t let that fool you. He positively relaxes into the tub and only voices a few complaints during the scrubbing, rinsing, and drying. I am so impressed to see him lay still for the paw-shaving process.

Zeus the Bengal cat is absolutely gorgeous and probably knows it. His eyes are going to tug on your heartstrings throughout the groom. Despite some early complaints, he loves his bath so much he doesn’t want to get out.
