The Queue: Anything happening this week?

I have the sneaking suspicion that something important is happening this week. I can’t quite put my finger on it, though. I’m pretty sure that we’ve hit the major holidays already, and I’m not forgetting Christmas 2: And This Time it’s Personal. I’m also pretty sure I remembered to feed the cat and take the garbage out.

Whatever it is, I’m sure that it can’t be that important, or I’d remember it. Guess it’s just a regular week.

While I go about my business as usual, it’s time for our daily question and answer column — The Queue!

How do you know you’ll never use it! Midnight patch 12.1 could have some huge change that totally adjusts everything you thought you knew about either transmog or Hunters. Maybe it’ll just straight up delete Dwarf Hunters and you’ll be forced to play something else as your main!

Stranger things have happened. Not often, but they have!

Just once, I want to see the obviously villain-coded character turn out to be a good guy. Sure, they dress all in black, and have a skull-topped cane, and their name is Morgoth Kidkiller, but that’s just their style! Skull-topped canes are in this time of year, and Kidkiller is an old family name.

I’ve seen a lot of the obvious good guy turns out to be an evil jerk, so let’s get it going the other way.

Dragon talons are an unfair modifier to unarmed strikes and kicks. I know that Monks use weapons, but just the extra talons on the feet alone make Dracthyr Monks too powerful.

Investigating the strange glowing meteor in Legion. I had so many alts that did not need to go and find Xe’ra to accomplish their goals. Sometimes I felt bad about it, then I remembered having to do anything underwater on any class that isn’t a Druid, and I got over that.

Spider-Man 2! 

I’d never played it before, and I wanted an open-world game that wasn’t Assassin’s Creed, so that’s where I landed. It’s pretty amazing– pun intended. I love web-slinging my way all over New York, and the characters are treated well. The combat feels satisfying, and even playing as Peter Parker isn’t as bad as I remember the non-superhero portions from the last game. I’m still pretty early into it, but I’m excited to see if Kraven remains the big bad, or if there are some Goblins in my future.

Could be a great way for them to finally introduce Tinkers and then limit them to just Gnomes, Mecha-Gnomes, and Goblins. Maybe Vulpera too, since they’re built on Goblin animations and that would balance Horde/Alliance numbers.

Alternatively, let’s see the Pandaren Noodlemaster. They’d dish out damage with a variety of Noodle golems and explosively hot soups, or heal your allies with a nice soothing bowl of Wonton soup. Their class mount could be a cnoodle cart. Weapons would be daggers, staves, and axes, and they’d be an Agility class.

Today’s Bacardi is a little out of focus, but that’s just because he’s moving so quickly to get ready for the Midnight prepatch. It’s certainly not because it was hard to get a good shot of his face while he’s playing in his new activity tube. He’s setting up all kinds of new delivery tubes just to ensure you all get the highest quality loot after the stat squish.
